Does anyone have any clue? I ask because I plan on getting one but not right at the momment. Im trying to put down a bigger down payment so its going to take me about a month or 2. Im just afraid that once Im ready they won't be in production anymore. :???:

Hm you sure? I figured it would be sooner since the e39 discontinued before or right around when the new 5 came out.

The 3-series runs on a totally different schedule. Here's the approximate breakdown:

1. E90 sedan available around May 05 - E46 sedan production is to stop very soon, end of January, IIRC.
2. E91 Coupe follows the sedan next year, as an '06 model. So, expect the E46 coupe to continue production at least until the end of '05, or thereabout.
3. E92 Convertible will be the last to come out, but the E46 convertible production probably stops at the same time as the coupe.
4. The M3 always comes last, after the coupe, so expect to see the E91 (or whatever it will be called) M3 to be available as an '07 model, towards the end of '06.

So, my best guess, E46 M3 production is guaranteed to run at least until August, 2005. It's also very posssible it extends into late '05, early '06 (say, January '06), before they stop production, retool the factories, as needed, and then begin taking orders for the '07 model.

Hope this helps.

The competition package will be discontinued in June 2005 or June 2006? Where are you getting this information? I didn't plan on ordering my M3 until I was back in Iraq and 3/4 into my year tour (towards the end of 2005).
