Just put a set of Alpine 2 on the wifes 323i sport wagon. I am not sure how different they are from the alphine but they are great. I do not think you would have any problems with a michelin tire. I assume you are going with 225/45/17. I actually just got these in for the my M3 on Tuesday from tirerack 4 x 245/40VR-18 Dunlop Winter Sport M3 I am installing them on a spare set of stock rims this weekend. I know everyone loves the winter sport m3. kmurph Fri, Jan-28-2005, 07:51:53 PM I do...this is the third winter for them on the M3...I also ran Pilot Alpins on my old e36 328is...I'm runnning them in a 245/40/18 size on OEM 18s...I've been very happy with them....they do a decent job in the dry (they're V-Rated) and offer good performance in the snow...not as good as a more dedicated snow tire such as Blizzak WS-50s but the WS-50s are like mush in the dry...so there's a trade-off either way. http://members.roadfly.org/kmurph/pilotalpin1.jpg http://members.roadfly.org/kmurph/pilotalpin2.jpg the result of a little drifting in the snow... http://members.roadfly.org/kmurph/MyM32.jpg eschw999 Fri, Jan-28-2005, 08:51:03 PM thanks, just ordered them from tirerack, got the 17's with the fox sport edition 3 wheels.... sy0296 Fri, Jan-28-2005, 09:46:02 PM this pic is awesome! http://members.roadfly.org/kmurph/MyM32.jpg no one make 19" snow tires eh... kmurph Sat, Jan-29-2005, 01:20:15 AM this pic is awesome! no one make 19" snow tires eh... There are some 19" snow tires... Dunlop makes Wintersport M3s in 255/35/19 and 255/40/19 sizes. |
