by rolling the interior body panel lip, you can gain additional clearance for larger wheels/tires. However, on the M3, the lip is already mostly rolled, so the benefits are minimal as compared to most cars. Essentially, it's something you can do if you're encountering slight rubbing between the tire and the body panel. R.

definitely "old school." we used to do this all the time...so bad for the paint though--it will crack eventually.

there used to be a 3 month wait for the one for rent @ tirerack, not sure if there still is though. I know a few shops in LA who can roll fenders for ya, but SD :nixweiss:
