I installed a BBK on my E46 M3. I only have 800 miles on these!

So my question is: A potential E46 (non-M3) owner may want to buy my rotors, calipers, brake lines and pads..... will they fit a non-M3 E46? :nixweiss:

Thanks Mark

No fit :Different hubs (M3 is larger dia.) Sorry Mark, no love connection.Actually, the hubs are the same diameter. That's why you can fit M3 wheels on a 323i. The problem is that the steering knuckle (what BMW calls a "kingpin") is unique to the M3. In order to fit the M3 brakes on a 323, 325, 328, or 330i, you would need to retrofit the M3 steering knuckle and a bunch of other associated parts.

The answer is the same. The M3 brakes won't fit a non-M E46.

will, since it seems like a lot of work, are there cars t hat the m3 brakes will fit on? without much work and thus still makes it worth it for the person to make teh conversion?

No need to despair, however. There are folks who track their M3 who would be interested in your rotors and, after a couple of seasons of hard track use, could also use your calipers, rather than rebuilding their own.

Here are a couple of eBay examples:
