I installed a XM bundle from myradiostore.com in my '02 M3 and I am trying to figure out how to activate my service by calling XM. I was told to go to channel zero and see what code appears. I did this to no avail.
I am looking for somebody with the same setup. I need to know how you activated your service.

The Radio ID is also on the label on the front of the receiver, per the attachment.
I just went out and tried mine and tuning to station 0 brings up the ID. This was with the engine off, no key in the ignition (not sure if that makes a difference).

Call XM and give them your radio ID. They will activate it for you. My XM didn't work at first so I called them back and I was told to leave the radio on for about 15 minutes and everything worked great. Also make sure you aren't parked in your garage as you will not receive the signal. By the way, I have the same setup.

I also have the same xm bundle from MyRadioStore. I activated the service online at xmradio.com.
Enjoy.

I found the radio ID code and I activated my service online at xmradio.com.
For some reason I have still not been able to receive service. I left the car outside with the radio on channel 1, as instructed, and did a refresh signal twice.
I double checked my install and it is correct. The antenna is placed in the back window. I even put it outside the car while I was waiting to receive my activation signal.
Any ideas?

Mine took about 30 minutes after the refresh to start working, and I couldn't try to change channels at all during that time or it would only pull a partial channel list. I think I ended up waiting an hour or so to make sure it was finished.
Mine is also on the rear deck, so that shouldn't be the problem. Can you hear the audio on the test channel? If not then maybe the antenna isn't connected very well?
Did you do the refresh on the web (I'm not even sure this is possible) or did you call them? I had to get them on the phone to get mine going.

I did the refresh on the phone via teleprompt, not with a representative.
I let the car sit for well over an hour on channel 1, and still nothing.
I can not get any audio on the preview channel.
I double checked the antenna connections to ensure they are good, which they are.

If you're not getting audio on the preview channel there must be some type of configuration/connection problem.
When you switch over to XM does your display show "Sirius" then "XM Radio" (or something to that effect)?
The only other thing I know about is the radio needing to be in USA mode instead of Europe, but if that were it your radio wouldn't even see the satellite as a valid source.
Maybe you got a bad antenna or the cable got crimped somehow?

When I press the mode button it toggles through AM/FM, single CD, and CD changer (XM).
It does not say Sirius nor XM when I switch it to the CD changer mode.
The probability of it being a bad XM receiver is pretty small. I know it has a good ground and constant battery voltage going to the receiver.
I will give it another shot next weekend when I get some time.
