Hey all...has anyone installed caps on there front speakers to cut off the bass from the 5.25? Basically I am adding an amp and a sub, but I want to cut off the bass from the front speakers in the door...

I know the caps have to be non polorized but what are the ratings on the cap?

R will be the 5.25 speaker, the impedance will be 4 or 8 ohm, as marked on the speaker
the low end speaker will go across Vin
f is the frequency

w = 2 x Pi x f

therefore:
C=1/(R x 6.3 x f)

if f = 500 hz
R = 4 ohms
C = 1/(4 x 6.3 x 500) = 1/12,600 = 1/.126 x 10 to the 5th = 7.9 x 10 to the negative 5th
