Hello all-

I am looking at an e30 M3, which has had a minor accident involving the front end. First of all, it drives well over and beyond any legal speed limit, with no tracking or noises. Outwardly, there appears to have been no direct suspension involvement, and the owner had pictures from the car before repair.

I checked the camber on the front: the side involved was at +1/2deg, while the other is at about -1.5deg.

Rears are even around -2deg, which to me seems reasonable based on experience.

Does anyone have a manual handy - I would like to know the factory spec on camber, as well as the normally adjustable limits.

Before you ask, the tires are brand new, so that won't tell me anything. Put the car up and checked the suspension and wells, nothing out of the ordinary or apparent rubbing.

Owner says car has not had alignment since repair, and his records (which seem otherwise complete) support this.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

In a bit of a pickle - should give an offer here soon (or not at all)

I just installed the 3/4-degree offset front suspension upper mounts (Bimmer OEM parts, bought from Turner Motorsport) today. Now I set the front camber at around -1.7 degrees, while the rear are about -2.3 degrees. So far so good, the head turns in the corner a bit faster than before (same corner, same speed, same angle to attack). Need to get used to it for a while before I can see what's really changing
