First off, you will need the new bulb. It is 1.2 watt bulb that looks like a christmas tree bulb which I got two off of ebay for a few bucks. To replace, first pull all 4 knobs off of the HVAC, they should not require any forcing or undo strain. Underneath the two largest knobs are two small phillips head screws. Undo these the faceplate should then just pull off. The bulb will be top dead center on the exposed facade though just the tip of the bulb will be sticking out, and you may need tweezers to help grasp it. I was able to carefully pull it out with my fingers, pop the new bulb in and reverse the steps to put the faceplate back on. Should take all of 5 minutes. Anyway, just wanted to write this up in case anyone searches for it in the future . . .
