I have a bet with one of my friends that the e46 can do a standing 1/4 mile in 12.5 and he argues it's more like 13.1 i am trying to find out the answer but have only found 0-100 times can anyone help? :box:

The only time I have seen like that was from a member here named Mathews. He ran a 12.4, but that wasn't stock. His stock time was 12.7 I believe. Hes also been drag racing since Christ was a child, so he knows what hes doing.

You're more average times are in the low 13's.

Check out our track section. Theres plenty of 1/4 runs posted in there.

If you're implying that it can be done in stock form your friend just won the bet. There are very few, and I mean very few, stock e46's that have broken the 13 second mark. 12.5 is in the territory of Viper's, 911 Turbos, Z06's, and m5's just to give you an idea. I'm not saying it's impossible, just highly unlikely.

Okay, maybe not 12.5 for an M5, but I think it would have a better chance then the M3. Just my personal opinion.
