How many of you guys have had a 02 or 03 Z06 and traded it in for a M3? Just wondering what your impressions were and were you happy with the decision. I know the Z06 has more power but all in all what are your thoughts.

I kept my open sportscar (boxster s) when I got the M3 because they have two entirely different capabilities, Boxster is the fun in the sun car for one or two, M3 is my business express - keep the suit pressed, carry colleagues, cart luggage for a biz trip and still have some fun.

M3 for me! The ZO6 is awesome. But I'm the kind of person who takes the whole persona of the car into consideration. I remember reading that review by Motor Trend on the Z06, Porshe 911, and 01 M3. By all respect the Z06 had more juice than both cars but even the reveiwer picked the M3 as his personal choice due to the overall performance and practicality of the car.
Even if someone would give me a Z06 for free, I'd still sell it and get an M3 SMG!

Just traded my zo6 a couple of weeks ago for a m3 smg and would do it again reason loved the power of the zo6 but it leaked water in around the trunk area they tried to fix this problem but were unable too on the first attempt so everytime i washed my car i had to stuff towels in the back to keep it from soaking my trunk what really pissed me off about this is they had a memorandum out on this problem and who knows maybe they all leak. The right side window had a short in it and would work sometimes and not sometimes. Then it started burning oil and i was told that they would possibly have to pull my engine and replace the oil rings had a couple of sts cadillacs and had simmilar problems so it will be a cold day in hell before i will buy a gm automobile ever again what really pisses me off about all this is most all the vehicles made in the states everybody kinda puts up with this when you spend this kind of money on a vehicle the vehicle qaulity control should be comparable to the foreign models even the one assemblied in the states.
