so guys i bought the car. Its a 1990, jet black one of the last E30's ever made, Its covered 115,000miles. 1 of 600 ever made worldwide and 1 of 51 officially in the UK! Only problem with it, is its Left hand drive! I've got the 17 inch optional bbs rims on the car and the guy i bought it off also gave me the standard 16's. Its got a black interior with racing recaros with red seatbelts. The full scuffed suede interior ie wheel, gear knob and handbrake. Its got a plaque on the interior console (just ahead of gearknob) which says the cars detail and more importantly the chassis code. This one appears to be AC795$%. When you sit inside you feel as though you are in a racing car, the side bolsters hugging you and the postion of ure body ( ie the way you sit and have ure hand on the steering wheel and gearknob reminds you of race cars)

The car looks amazing - it looks so mean and the paintwork is like new, which is unusual as its covered a lot of miles. Its got the full service history and has had the chains changed aswell as a top end rebuild if i remeber correctly.

The engine is so sweet. from 4000 rpm to the redline 7000 rpm the noise is amazing so raw, intense and menacing. The power delivery in between 4000 and 7000rpm is so seamless just like the E36 near its redline. But there is no torque like My E36, i have to fiddle around with the box if i want to get a move on.

The handling - oh my god , this car is amazing, all i have done is drove the car back to my house from where i bought it and already i can say it has much better handling than the E36 or the GTR.

The E30 constantly communicates its every move to you. When u are taking a corner a bit enthusiatically its ability to turn in and the directness and the feel of the steering, uhh, god its unbeleivable,if u have to do 1 thing in ure life its got to be drive a E30 M3. Its not that my E36 evo or the GTR is lacking in grip stakes but they are not as chuckable as the E30 is, the steering response is so sweet, my GtR and E36 especially, feel as though they have a dead spot - it turns in but there is a moments hestation between issuing the command and it being obeyed.

Its gonna take time getting used to the 5spd dogleg box and the crap brakes ( they really do need to be upgraded to be up 2 todays standards ) and lack of torque ( but hey its a sports car so i dnt mind mixing it with the box.)

I am so happy with my purchase of the E30 sport evolution! it is amazing. Now i know what these E30 drivers go on about ! If u ever have the chance to drive/own a E30 go for it

Lastly the main reason i bought the car, i had been looking to buy a FF car. maybe a Focus RS or a Integra Type R while searching for these cars in a magazine i stumbled upon the car i bought. All i saw was a picture of a black E30 with the telltale red stripe and front spoiler and bbs wheels, at first i thought the price was a mis print or maybe the car was battered. so i rang up and went to view it. Turns out the owner has no idea as to how rare his E30 M3 is! how he never knew, i'll never work out ! He thought it was a run of the mill E30 M3! Anyhowz back to the point i bought this car for alot less than the price of a good E30 M3. i paid £5500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL it was the bargain of the millenium, it was deal, it was a steal, it was sale of the fukin century !

as soon as i get pics i will post them !!

also as soon as i sort out insurance, tyres, brakes and a few other little niggles i will tell you how the M3 E30 sport evo III really go's !

now i have 2 Evolutionz ! maybe i shud get rid of the E36 ?

 :peace:

Just one quick question: I just wonder are there actually 500 or 501 Evolution I, and 500 or 505 Evolution II have been made by Bimmer? Most websites say the first numbes while some say it's 501 and 505 and also show the stainless steel tags with production number "xxx/501" on it something like this (might be the "013/501" is omitted intentionally?).

Anyway, how are you gonna treat your new beloved? Rally? Cruising? Circuit? Or just sleep with it in your garage every night hereafter?

PICS!

and about it being left-hand drive... I really think you'd be better off selling it to me here in the USA... I think I'd be willing to part with $11,000 US. You should really thank me for taking this burden off of your shoulders.

Michelangelo im just gonna cruise in my E30 for now, i'll give it a hard time on country lanes and its getting to sleep in the garage next to my GTR. Poor E36 all outside in the cold! LOL

I really am loving this car it is amazing, i've put on about 480 miles in 3 days! so far the highs have been the amount of people that stare at it and the noise, a proper old school BMW roar and bellow. The best thing so far about the E30 in 3 days of owernership is the way the throttle, gearbox and clutch act 2gether, it delights in the way my M3 E36 Evolution and R34 GTR can only dream of. Only people who have driven E30's will know what i'm going on about. Oh my god i'm becoming one of them fanatical E30 owners.

I will get pics soon.

Scuzzy my friend i really wouldn't want to put this burden on your shoulders, i think i'll be able to live with this mistake

BNR34 is too heavy if you like cornering rather than straight/drag...

The E30 is simply awesome it is a True Drivers car, speed is irrelevant , its the feedback and communication the E30 gives which make the E30 mindblowing. Put this way i'm never going to sell my E30 Sport Evo, never, ever. Its gonna be with me 4 life.

U can really tell that the E30 M3 was a track car which was converted in2 a road car not a road car imitating to be a track car. Only people who have driven or own a E30 know what i'm talking about !

I'm not sure, but there should be several units (yup, but just several ever made by Bimmer officially) of right-hand-drive E30 M3 in the world. One is black in Hong Kong now still in good condition. However, most of right-hand-drive E30 M3 currently in the world are custom made instead, not genuine Bimmer product.

yeah they are all left hand drive only some r converted to right hand drive.

Being in a country where the steering wheel is on the right , i reckon having the steering wheel on the left feels correct. Like its the ultimate driving position.
