I'm starting to think the chrome might be damaged. At first I thought it was some type of fibrous material off the road (like pieces of fiberglass thread or something) - but it's not raised at all, and nothing takes it off. It almost looks like squiggly lines of corrosion or something, but I can't figure out what it could be. You have to be within about 5 feet of the wheel to see it, but that's enough to bug the crap out of me :/ Anyone seen this kind of thing before??

Be careful with that stuff, it can scratch and remove almost anything.

Will Goof Off scratch chrome?

I tried some chrome polish, wheel cleaner, and a variety of non-abrasive household chemicals, but no luck yet :/
