Got it done today down in Denver. Sub mounts right were the ski pass-through is, oh well i can carry skies but the bass is 100% better. Icelink works great and now I just need to go and make some playlists for it. Mounted my ipod in the euro-tray for a nice clean finish and easy access. Hmmm what the next mod :hmm:

That's just awesome. I like how the install retained most of the stock look. Great job

Hmmm..now you got me thinking....

Do you have any pictures of the install in progress, especially showing how the sub is mounted? Did you loose folddown seat capability?

if you wanted to, could you put back the pass-through-blocker removable arm rest thing (i dont know wat its called) with your new sub?

So a little off topic, but i've got a 4th gen Ipod and the damn thing always freezes... so i'm very weary about putting it in the M.. anyone else have this problem??

Hmmm what the next mod :hmm:Did they simply seal a woofer in the factory pass through? One more observation if your bass is only 100% better than stock you still can't hear it, LOL.

hey, the Ipod freezing is due to the "software" issues - I had the same problem - go to the Apple website and download the latest update for it! :)

If that still doesn't solve the problem, take it to the Apple store and have a tech look at it.

Nice sub install but for the Ipod, don't you find it hard to view / control with it mounted backwards like that?? :peace:

DId you keep the rest of the stock speakers. I just had some mb quart speakers installed with a phenox gold amp from an audi I once had and the thing sounds 100% worse then the stock radio Hk system. The installer said I need another small amp and a subwoofer to make the system complete..this thing sounds like a transistor radio but it was near closing so I could have no further work done today. Any suggestions.
