Just make sure the applicator/cloth you use is not used on the car itself. Unless the wheels are scrubbed really well,or clayed(and it is the last time to ever use that claybar) you will have a small accumulation of brake dust on your applicator. When you are finished with the wheels toss the applicator out. The clay bar or applicator will pick up brake dust and it is almost impossible to get rid of. Ecen claying does not get into all the spots an applicator will go, so some transfer of dust will end up on your applicator. acitydweller Wed, Aug-18-2004, 07:56:18 PM Yes it is. I second that, as steve said, definitely use different applicators and towels when cleaning rims and your car. The rims wont really mind much but you'll run the risk of swirlies on your finish. |
