You know the vinyl/rubber trim around windows? Have you guys ever gotten wax on it by accident? It turns all white and you can't wash it off. I did this to one of my other cars. How to get these white stains out of the black trim?

BUDDY YOU CAN USE KIWI BLACK SHOE POLISH TO RE STAIN IT - PLUS THE BLACK POLISH IS WATERPROOF SO IT WILL LAST BETTER THAN ARMOR ALL. I HAVE AN 03 AND AM HORRIFIED BY WAXING AROUNT THOSE AREAS B/C HOW SENSITIVE IT IS. GOOD LUCK!!

You're crazy. Who the hell puts shoe polish on a car.

Try using a pencil eraser to remove it.

I've also found that mcguires gold cleaner works really well for this.

it also works well on oxidized plastic.

Meguiar's new Nxt Generation line has a plastic trim cleaner. I used it on my gf's 330xi to remove stains from p21s i used previously, and it doesn't make the trim glossy, just restores the stock low luster, it also is good for repelling dust.

Use a drafting (white) eraser, this is the cleanest and easiest way to remove it.

If that doesn't work, you can use 3M General Purpose Auto Adhesive Cleaner.
