I have a 2003 M3 - Silver-Gray w/ blk leather. Options: prem,cold,HK,19" rims, rear airbags. Bought it as a 2003 leftever w/ 3000 miles on it.

1. Does 47K sound okay - sticker is 55K with those options. I live in CT and its tough to find many deals on these cars. the best you can do is 2k off sticker. I get warranty starting now b/c it was sold as new.

2. Anyway - YES - its missing Xenons and it makes me sick! For now i put sylvania silverstars in to hold me over (these headlights are quite impressive - i get flashed constantly) nevertheless i want to install the original Factory Xenon lamps some how. Was wondering if i can get used parts from a smashed one per say and install myself. i assume as long as you get the ballasts and all the parts it should at some point simply plug into the factory harness - the headlight assemblies are identicle so it would simply bolt in. Anyone have any suggestions/clues or know anyone who has done this??? I cant imagine BMW changing the wiring harness that drastically for xenon/non-xenon cars that would cost too much and make the production line too complicated. those are the reasons that so many things are prewired in those cars to stop all that additional confusion.

Thanks for your help and comments.

IMHO, you probably could. First, you are going to need the xenon headlight along with its wiring, igniter, everything under the hood from the vehicle equipped xenon. Second, you need the xenon auto leveling lever located underneath your car at the suspension area and some other associated parts. Third, you have to go to the stealer and reprogram your car to have "xenon present" or something like that. I'd PM Sirius and ask him on exactly what parts do you need to have a non xenon car to be a xenon car.

btw, warranty starts the month of manufacturing... i.e. if your car was mfg in 5/2001, warranty is good for 4 years from that date and not from the date of purchase. Your sales person is just scaming you if he says otherwise.

Your sales person may also neglect to tell you the free maintenance waranty is over by a year already...

It actually really easy to do. Just pop the plugs out of the Halogens and right into the xenons. The xenons have an extra plug but its not needed. Then you either get the computer flashed for xenons at your local dealer or buy xenon relays at bekkers.com to get rid of the warning lights out signal. any questions just ask....
