My hood needs some livening up. The plastic piece towards the top is gettin' a bit faded. What's the best solution here? :hmm:

Well, you want something to make the plastic heat dump black again, or some polish for your hood?

I'll give you a product for each just in case:

For the black plastic, and ANY plastic or vinyl around the car:
www.303products.com - 303 protectant, great product for a natural shine, not a glossy wet shine, but factory fresh moreso.

If you have swirls on your hood:

www.p21s.com try the paint cleanser, or if you have a harley dealer nearby, try the s100 paint cleanser(same product but cheaper in price, and rebadged for bikes)

If you happen to own a porter cable. . .www.clearkote.com - try the Vanilla Moose glaze.

Thanks Frank. I was talkin' about the plastic heat dump. I ordered one of their free samples- the 303 protectant. I think it's like $10 shipping for a $7.95 bottle. Any place else to get this stuff? Also, can u use it safely on the dashboard and door vinyl safely?

Yes it is safe on ur dash, absolutely. . .BUT if you get some on your leather, just make sure u clean that spot up with some leather cleaner, it might look a lil greasy spotted onthe leather, but it comes right off, no biggie.

If you have an Ace hardware or Boater's world down there in miami, they should carry it right off the shelf.

If not. . .search on the site, theyll list retailers for you.

Cool man. . .try using it on your tires too. . .it'll soak in and give you a nice even flat black finish, not too glossy.

I love 303. I buy this stuff by the gallon. Put some on your wipers and window and door seals too. It protects against UV damage. No problem on the leather, they even say it can be used on leather but I prefer a good leather conditioner.
