Does anyone know of any good tinting places in Vancouver ( or Richmond,Burnaby, etc) ? I'm looking for any good quality shops with reasonable prices.

I'm still thinking whether I should tint or not, if I do I plan on doing just the back windows. Thanks for any info.

Prices? I think they are fair. And I was worried about the matrix dots too, but my car tint looks AWESOME! :thumbsup:

If u see a brown guy with his **** hanging out the window thats me. I got my tint done at Ideal tint in richmond. 1 block past the auto mall on westminister. Actually right on the corner of #6 and westminister. 200 bucks, but thats only if ur a chump, just tell em your the cousin of saemen pronounced sumin, from vader speed and sound. I got it done for 120, that was 5 windows 35%. Im not saemen btw, hes just a friend of mine.

So I called Avrix Window Films and they gave me quote of $188 for 20% tint for just the back windows. Is that a fair price?

btw, I was at Autowest today to get my car serviced and I saw a red m3 and I thought it might be yours, Christy....but then I saw an old man get into it.

thats too much, i wouldnt do it. Dont ask the ppl at auto west, they will try to get u to go to some other place in richmond and there gonna want over 500. If they give u some crap about the tint causing a squeeking noise its not true. Ideal tint is where im gettin my tints done from now on. The cab windows move down a bit when u open/close, and so my passenger window started to peel a bit. I went back a month later, and they said a year down the road it might get worse so they reccomended i get it replaced, no charge, no hassle, and straight up. Real nice guys.

Do you have Ideal Tints phone number? How did the matrix dots part turn out?

edit: Never mind I found the number. They're quoting me for $149 but he said the dots won't turn out so good but they'll try their best.

the dots on my windows are perfect, no uneven converage, my back window is not so great though, At the bottom of the rear winshield the dots left a slightly white row. Its not very noticable, but if u look close u can see it. I have seen an m at auto west with a much worse job, the dot matrix on all windows came out nasty. I was lucky cause theres only the botom fo the rear window.

:eek: Yup, that was my car. It was left overnight there the other night because I had to get my left light fixed, the rear panels were creaking, so they had to fix that too. Oh, and my car was not on the road for about 3 weeks because I was getting my rims fixed, and felt that my car was lacking power after initially driving it. It used to vroom...but all last week since I've been driving the car,..it felt gutless.
So...they changed my mass air flow sensor! :dance: And she's back at full power again!

The old man getting in? :hmm: Probably one of the service guys...
