Visiting my best friend and fellow Marine in Utah near salt lake city 800 miles from my home in Cali. Any good places to go, and twisty roads to attack? I bought a qt of oil from bmw here for 18 bucks, what a rip off! O well enough rant.

Did not do a top speed run. Too much stuff in the car, they said the salt was corrosive, and I'm pretty slammed to the ground.

Lots of great roads in Utah but if you're going to hit just one road I would suggest Hwy 12 between Bryce Canyon and Hanksville. I came through there last fall after buying my car in Vegas and it was awesome!

I spoke with my friend, and we'll hit it up Friday. Road looks awesome. I'll post pics afterward. Thanks for the recommendation. :thumbsup2:

Lol I was gonna say, Utah and vacation don't belong in the same sentence, but that's not very nice.:shifty:

Everyone bags on Utah regardless of if they have ever been. It's a pretty cool place but does have it's downsides like every state but it's still got a lot of cool stuff. Not to mention Miller Motorsports Park. If you think you know a high class racetrack come and check this one out. People are constantly blown away by how nice it is. No whitetrash racing here! I have lived here for two years from Houston, Texas. Needless to say, as much Texas-pride that I have I ain't moving back!

If you're going for the sightseeing, Arches/Moab, Bryce, Zions, Goblin Valley, Logan Canyon, Park City, etc.

For great canyon stretches, I am partial to Bryce/Price or Logan Canyon (highway 89, north end of the state).

Lived in Utah for 10 years, I disagree with anyone saying its an unpleasant place. Hard to leave, if you're an outdoorsy type.
