well, the difference is that gentrification happens. ALMS has been "about to happen" for over a dozen yrs.
been a while now that i keep hearing "its getting bigger/better/popular" and all i see is the same size league and a big ole' privateer field trying to sneak in a couple of wins over a couple of factory backed teams.
This thread reminded me of how long the series has been around, it's "gaining momentum" apparently

pawa_k2001 Fri, Sep-30-2011, 10:48:01 PM F458 took the pole but the BMW looks very strong. There is a lot of F458s in the top positions though so it will be a fight.
Thanks,
Paul

I thought ALMS only had 4 drivers?
ITT: man catches his racecar on fire and is butthurt.
1baadm3 Sat, Oct-01-2011, 03:51:25 AM where is porsche now.

Ferrari has a new car, BMW has really developed their car. The Porsche is running at the end of its lifetime. I can't wait to see the 991 chassis on the track. Also, this track doesn't suit Porsche characteristics.
Thanks,
Paul
