washed her with Zymol, then I clayed her with Clay Magic.... after wiping her down after the claying, I broke out the orbital buffer and put on Meguiars Gold Class Polish... buffed it off then waxed her with Meguiars Gold Class Wax... i'm very pleased with the results... tires were treated with Meguiars Endurance High Gloss (purple stuff!! Mmmmm!! )

For the engine bay, did you use that Meguiar's Extra stuff? It's the all purpose cleaner they recommend for that type of stuff on the site.

I was wondering if it's any good, if you used it.

Hehe, I clean my car at work, and use alot of the professional, industrial strength stuff we get. Gotta love wheel cleaner that makes you choke if you breath it in...

Yea that "hot rims" sh!t makes me choke.

My 2 favorite wheel cleaners are Zymol wheel cleaner, and the Dupont Teflon wheel cleaner, those do the best job, and smell great!

Heh, take hot rims, multiply it by about 30, and you get the stuff we use at work. It'll burn your hands w/o gloves.. and if you get it in any open cuts... its like salt in a wound... ouch. It'll melt that 'smoke' coating right off of M rims if you're not careful...

Ill try the zymol stuff, I gotta grab some cleaning supplies for the house tomorrow and then clean my ride up!

Great work Brent!

Meguairs mainstream all in one polish/wax (Goldclass) delivers nice results.

Meg's High Endurance tire dressing (smeels like grape syrup!) can be found on numerous retail sites online.

TO name a few, www.premiumautocare.com and www.autogeek.com both carry Meg's line of products.

Claying the car before cleaning/polishing and waxing the paint truly enhances the longevity and the quality shine that we all strive for.

Thanks for sharing with us :D

Also, the PC (Porter cable) delivers far superior results than doing everything by hand (i can attest to this because up until a few months ago i always did all my paint work by hands too).

Simply fantastic, not to mention the amount of time we save with the application process.

On my wheels, I use P21S... that stuff is awesome.. i've been using simple green automotive on my wheels and P21S gel destroyed it.

I used simple green on my engine, then used some dressing to shine it up. i've been thinking about getting Meguiars Extra, but havent really needed to use it.

i thought about putting the high gloss endurance on a towel to use on my engine/hoses.... i'll see how that works out the next time i wash my car.. which will be sunday.

For the engine. . .are you spraying the whole engine down, soaking it, then hosing it off, or are you just doing it piecemeal with a little spray here and there, then following it up with a terry cloth?

i have a few old tshirts that i have ripped up... i spray it on there and just clean everything..

i'm not one to hose the engine down.. the engine wasn't that dirty in the first place. just spray a little on the cloth and wipe her down!
