Anyone know if this is going to be aired in it's entirety like the LeMans was this past summer? Can't really find any info on the Daytona site. TVRacer lists it as 3-10pm, and then 7am-3pm on Speed.

Didn't know if somewhere might be streaming it.

Probably going to be on in chunks (like 24h LM was; don't think it was on for the full 24h, was it?). I can't recall ever seeing anyone air an endurance race of 12h or more end to end.

That's what's wrong with the world.

I dunno. I can't say that I'd be up for watching televised racing for 24h (or even 12h) straight. In person? Sure... but only the Nurb or LM. Daytona? I could do Petit LM or Sebring too.

I don't recall the 24h LM being on Speed for the entire duration, I mainly followed one site that had real-time laps, drivers, positioning, etc. I hope I can find it again this year or I'm screwed.

They changed channels twice during the race, but the race aired in it's entirety. I watched all 24hours (minus a 2 hour nap) this past summer.

It went from Speed HD to regular Speed and back to Speed HD. I know I had to change the channel at 7pm i think, then change it back around 11pm. I will try to find the schedule. Point is, it aired in it's entirety.:raspberry:

edit. here joo go. knew I had to change it to get the whole thing this was how it worked.

When SPEED is not providing its 19 hours of live coverage from Circuit de la Sarthe, SPEEDtv.com, in association with Radio Le Mans, will stream the action live. This will be the first time sports car fans in the United States will be able to view live coverage from Le Mans on SPEEDtv.com.

I love racing, but christ man. No way I'm watching that much of it. At a certain point of the night, the coverage gets a little dry. I watch a few hours throughout the day, then wake up the next day and watch the finish.

I had in-town over at the house for about 5 hours of the race, so it wasn't non-stop watching, but it was always on in the background. There were some great history pieces inserted into the coverage, as well as some testimonials by former drivers. Also the paddock coverage was incredible. Watching them tear the ass end off a prototype, replace the engine and tranny and have it back out running in a half hour is unreal. I really hope they do it again this year.
