Bought my 2005 M3 with SMG, 19's, CWP, Xenon about 4 weeks ago. Picked it up from an elderly couple who bought it new and had it for their 3rd car parked in their second home here in the Phoenix area.

The gentleman lost his eye sight 2 years ago and is legally blind and not allowed to drive, so his wife drove it sparingly. They bought the car as a retirement toy to enjoy their "Golden Years". They decided to sell and I just happen to be looking for one.

Talked to them at length, got all the service records and called the dealer to confirm and also ran carfax and everything matched what they said.

Car had less than 19k miles on it and they kept extreme good care of it. It is a clean M3.

Love the color of Jet Black with Cinnamon interior. They also had the windscreen and a battery tender for it. I don't think they ever got into it to the cars performance ability.

I've kept the top down for the most part since I've bought it. Weather is great here in Phoenix. I would prefer it to be about 10 degrees warmer, but I turn on the seat heaters and turn the heater on and with the windscreen it's been great to drive.

So here's a pic of it - shot with my iPhone but it gives you an idea of it.

I really enjoy this site. Learning a lot of what the M3 is all about, doing mods and even DIY. Bought filter and oil to change my oil this week. Even though it was serviced not to long ago, I feel you can't change oil enough.

Wow 19k on a one-owner M3 and I'm sure they never abused it lol. I'm glad you confirmed all the service records, I was worried they would have neglected any maintenance since it was used so little. Awesome find!! Time to open that M3 up and show it some spirited driving...

I am a new owner of a 2006 Jet Black SMG - got mine from BMW financial off lease. I've only driven mine a few times due to the snow here in western PA. But so far I do like it alot. Jet Black is unbelievably gorgeous when clean but MAN does it show every spec of dust!

This forum is excellent and the quality of the information and participation is much different than other auto forums. I too ordered my oil change kit along with tranny and diff fluid change. Just did the diff last night and will do the oil in the next week or so.

Happy motoring! And, Happy New Year - cheers! :drums:

congrats! very jealous of your interior. you'll find that the general consensus around here is to change the oil every 7500 miles. the factory recommends every 15k, but there's a stickied thread i think which shows a visual comparison of two engines with the respective oil change intervals. so no rush to change the oil if it was done not too long ago.

enjoy and welcome!

Congrats. Car looks great. I am pretty sure this is the first (or one of) Jet Black vert I have seen. Enjoy it!
