In the past week I've seen this Leguna Seca blue M3 out around north austin late at night (access road of mopac and n lamar). My M3 is currently in the shop so I've been driving my galant around town. Just curious to see if the owner is on this forum. Very good looking color (esp. at night).

Good question. I'm not sure. When I saw him on Saturday night he was driving with some friends (all in their own cars - no other BMWs). He wouldn't run me in my galant (it's AWD 4G63 w/ turbo - it will outrun a stock US e36 m3 - don't get me wrong I'd much rather be driving my M3... the gvr4 is known as the "turbo beater").

it's not that i wouldn't run you. i was going with the vette and the two mustangs down the road to race. i told the vette to get over so you could pull up and when you did you just took off. i find it hard to get a good race in when there is no start. from what i saw when you went by i would have had that vr-4 for diner anyway. we meet at vans autoparts on 183 every saturday night. bring your M out sometime.

Oh don't worry, I'm well aware that the E46 M3 will smoke my galant. In fact it will hand my e36 m3 it's a$$ as well. I was joking about you not wanting to run me, there's no point. Besides, I'm working nights now (Sat. - Wed) and was just on my way home for lunch.

My Rx7 would probably take your e46 m3 (unless you've done a lot more mods than you have listed in your sig), BUT I sold the Rx7 and replaced it with an e36 m3. Not as fast, but I'm sure we can all agree an overall "better" car. Anyway, my point was to just say high, meet another local m3 owner, and give you "mad props" on your car (like I said, excellent color choice - and yes, it's faster than any car I currently own). That being said, have you ever seen a 4 door galant move that quick? We've up'ed the boost a little and that's about it. It's actually faster than my m3 (for now), but it's a VERY different feel (turbo lag in the galant vs. the torque of the m3).

As soon as I don't have to work nights anymore (not sure when that will be), I'll meet up with you at Vans sometime. Visit my website.

there are a few vr4 galants out that are modded pretty well. i used to run one a year ago in my vette that would hand my m it's ass. come out sometime or stop me and say hi.

Good, I'm glad. Truth be told, I just wanted to see the E46 M3 get on it. Let's face it, you could have waiting until I was half way down the road before stepping on it and still blown my doors off. :D
