I hope this isn't already posted...just signed on today. Anyway, I was wondering if anyonehad replaced the tires with a larger set...form 255 in the rear to maybe 285 or 295? Or will it degrade the handdling of the car at all by increasing the size? Thanks you!

If anything I would try a wider tire in front to reduce the understeer. Maybe try a 245/40/18 if it will fit. I have an M5 and the stock size wheel/tire is a 18X8 with a 245/40/18.

I always go by the German tuning companies, I would never put more than what they recommend as they always seem to do everyhting to the MAXXX.
I would use HAmman guide lines for max size which would be

TIRES: 245/35 ZR 19 FA / 275/30 ZR 19 RA

With my older Eagle Talon that I owned, I did exactly what you are thinking about with adding a wider tire than the stock. With exactly the same brand tire but with the larger size I found I had more body roll around corners in town and on the highway. Never again will I do this without getting larger rims. Just my two cents.

IIRC, 255 is beyond the spec width for the Stock front wheel, I would not trust it to stay on!

Front wheels are 8" width = any tire from 215 to 255
Rear wheels are 9.5" width = any tire from 245 to 285
