If I were a career National League pitcher I wouldn't want to come to the American League either. You can pretty much increase his ERA a good half run to a run by making the switch because of the DH.

Peavy's away ERA is nearly a full run higher than at home. Petco is a tough park for HR hitters. He'd be better off somewhere like SF. Starting half your games at Comiskey, adding the DH, the allowing for the abundance of offensive talent he'd be facing in the AL, and this is just a bad fit, imho.

I dunno. 2.73 lifetime at home, 3.93 away. If you throw out the two years with the biggest disparities (rookie season and '08), it comes back to earth a bit. Any team would be lucky to have him, but I think he's going to struggle a bit in the AL at first, particularly at home (if that's Comiskey).
