you have to really want to do this, because the zaino process takes a really long time... however, the results are pretty darn good. Here are pics of my Steel Gray with only 1 coat of zaino (more to come).

I found this on the net. . .U might wanna take a peek inside.

zaino test (http://pages.sbcglobal.net/gheumann/zaino_test/)

I dont think zaino is any better than say the pro glaze maguiars, but that's me. They all look great if you know what your doing, and from the pictures above of that steel grey, looks like he knows what he's going!

Hello everyone. My maiden post here. No sig. No M. Still contemplating it (talking my self into it?). Had a Cobra for a few years. It was fun, but got tired of the shop time...

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that if you are feel Zaino is a lot of work, you are probably doing something wrong.

The first coat does require a little extra prep work, but you should do that before any wax job. Remove any tar and bugs, strip off the old wax, and clay bar to remove any embedded contaminants.

When you apply Z2 or Z5, be sure to use very thin coats. More is definitely not better and makes a real mess. It’ll be a pain to remove and leave your paint looking rather oily. To help keep it thin and even, I used a hand towel (100% cotton of course) and I’d keep the surface of the towel damp, not wet, with Z6.

I’d do the paint, windows, lamp lenses, and wheels. I could remove a coat almost as quickly as I could towel dry it.

Your new ride looks great, BTW.

Triflow, I used to agree for the most part. I tried the best of Mother’s and Meguiar’s and if you prep them as equally as Zaino you can get similar results. I still think the Zaino looks a little better after multiple coats, but if it is it’s still close. Where it really shines is, this stuff is durable. I’ve just not used anything that holds it’s deep glossy shine like it does.

the zaino was a lot of work because it was my first application... so i had to "dawn" wash it, claybar, zaino wash, and then start with the polishes.

I realize that it will be less work from now on.

Wait till you have 14 coats. Though marginally shinier than the first eight, the shine will blow your mind away. I don't wash the car anymore (car always garaged and never driven in any wet weather conditions). I use Z6 to touch the IR finish up.
