Has anyone been to M driving School in South Carolina? They have a one day class or a 2.5 day class ($3,600!). Is it worth the money??

Most fun I have had in a car in years, when else do you get to drive M-3's (both 6 speed and SMG) and M-5 as hard as you want and do not have to worry about breraking anything. The food and the lodging are all first class. If you can go enjoy it... M3potenza Wed, Mar-10-2004, 01:08:13 PM I went to the M School last spring and loved it. BaDm0theR Wed, Mar-10-2004, 01:36:36 PM I too was/am considering going to Spartanburg, NC to attend this ///M school, but the price is kind of ridiculous. I understand that you can drive M3's and M5's as hard as you want for 2.5 days, but you can spend $400 and rent an M3 from a luxury car rental place, and proceed to beating the hell out of it too. Granted, the M school TEACHES you driving techniques/maneuvers, and it has alot of ammenities, but 3600 is a lofty investment for 2 days of fun. I think performance delivery people get that treatment/experience for free correct? Minus the professional driving courses. Rob's Archive Wed, Mar-10-2004, 02:52:30 PM i am thinking about taking the course but when it comes time for the m5 portion i want to use my own since it will be WAY more difficult to control than a standard m5. For those that really want to learn how to drive safe and drive fast, its a must. In addition to the days/nights of driving, the food and the place to stay you also earn your race license by completing the course. Pretty nice. I got to do this but strictly as an M5 course last last october and it was the most fun i think i have ever had in a car...took an m5 off roading too, they didnt say anything. Took home 3/4th place (tied with my buddy) in all the competitions that we did...i still to this day use some of the techniques they tought there and thats just in everyday driving |
