I need to get new tires - FAST. I have a flat that I doubt can be fixed.
I only drive about 4K miles a year on my 2002 M3. I currently have 245 / 275 setup.

Should I stay the same or go back down to 225 / 255.

Which brand and where? I saw something of General's, but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

General UHPs are probably the worst tires I've every had the displeasure of driving on. Utterly worthless POS. They made me think my suspension was broken. Seriously, that bad.

I highly, highly recommend Michelin PS2, the best tires I've ever driven on. Especially since you do not put many miles on a year, you want them to be good ones!

Stick with 245/275, or go 245/255.

Call Tire Rack and buy a set of the remaining Bridgestone Potenza RE01R's if you want a sticky street tire that you can autocross. They run 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

The treadwear is 160, but if you only put 4k on the car annually, why not?

PS2's if you only drive 4k miles a year they will last. Top notch tires are crucial to an M3 performing as it should. Goodyear F1's are also good.

My favorite "bargain" tire is Pirelli Pzero Nero

Nothing by BF goodrich, Nitto, Kumho...

Stupid question - and not meaning to hijack this thread - do 245/275 fit on the stock 19s (non competition wheels)?

Well, PS2 are the best tire you can get. But IMO, it depends on the type of driving you do. If you typically just drive the car to get from place to place, Generals are good tires (a lot cheaper than PS2). However, if you do a lot of performance driving, PS2 is the way to go. It all depends on your budget.
