Has anyone installed the clear 3m paint protection as sold by X-Pel, Stongard, Clearbra, etc? This is a 3m film that is applied to your paint to protect against rock chips, bugs, etc. If you have I would like to discuss this item/procedure with you. Thanks! Scott

you should post this in the e46 m3 board. i had it on a previous car but not on my current car. it left a yellowish tint on my last white car. on that car i had it professionally installed....not enough patient. i think many above in the e46 m3 have had it installed. they should be able to explain the process better for you bmw.
here a link to an earlier disscussion....might want to contact one of them.

Basic kit for my car[corvette] which includes the nose ,hood, complete rocker panels, front and behind each tire, and the wheel wells was about $700. Not including the rocker panels the cost was about $500.00
