View Full Version : Adaptive Light Kit Group Buy
SOURCE1064 Tue, Mar-02-2004, 12:32:21 PM I was interested in getting the module the makes the adaptive lite kit functional so I e-mailed the guy who makes it. Right now he doesn't produce it anymore but he said if enough people are interested he will do another short production which would cost about $60 plus shipping. He said it the install is very easy and comes with detailed instructions. If anyone is interested please let me know. Hopefully we can get enough people because I'd really like to get the kit so don't miss out.
Thanks,

I think he's talking about the LED Taillights. The adapter will enable the adaptive lighting to function.

Sorry I didn't explain it fully. It is for the rear led tail light conversion.

just plug in two wires mount it on the side behind car liner above the battery... no more than a 10 minute job..by the time you route the wire to the other LED...it's a no brainer DIY... the size of the little box is like a 2" x 2" and about 0.5" thick...
SOURCE1064 Wed, Mar-03-2004, 01:20:17 AM The guy who makes it said it takes 5-10 minutes. I am still waiting to hear how many buyers to start up another small production.

Turbologist Wed, Mar-17-2004, 11:54:27 AM So any year M to which you did the retrofit to requires this in order for the Adaptive feature to function, correct?
SOURCE1064 Wed, Mar-17-2004, 01:13:58 PM Yes, from what I have heard and read it is actually better than bmw's version because you can controle at what force of braking it kickes in and you can also adjust the brightness.
