I know that the M5 board already knows about this but I wanted to know what my fellow M3 guys opinion was...

You can bet when the M4 comes up, someone will be doing the same thing in the M5 board...

But anyway...
Opinons on the Beast....

I think I'm in heaven

I think it's ugly and has too many doors. The only thing I like it about it is the power.

I like the power numbers but not the styling, or on any of the new 5 series BMWs. I was driving with one of my sons and one passed us with both of us thinking it was a Pontiac Grand Prix.

I like it. Seeing the pictures even encouraged me to call my friend and BMW salesman this morning to confirm what number I currently was on their M5 list. I look at car buying like a chess game; I always try to stay one move ahead. Next list to get on is for the M4, they wouldn’t even start one of those yet!

I like the design. The performance should make up for those who think the design fell short

I have trouble beleiving thats it.....it doesn't have the trademark M mirrors....the front is a lil to rounded IMO and they don't show the back......looks like another photoshop plus I don't hitnk the owners circle has said anything yet!!

To me it is academic as the new M5 is not going to be affordable for me. That is one of the reasons I like the M3 so much - M5 beating performance at almost $20000 less. If I get an M5 it will probably be an 02 or 03 as I like that styling and I think those will become a "bargain."

Yeah, but you'd be mad to try and take the family with all it's luggage across Europe in an M3 whereas it's easy in an M5

These are official pics released by BMW originally posted on their website but have since been taken down.
