Hey guys

There is a TrackMasters HPDE at Watkins Glen International Raceway on May 2-3, 2009. Luckily this is not a weekday event, so those that complain they can't get off work, I expect to see you guys out there!

Date: May 2-3, 2009 (Saturday & Sunday)

Where to Sign Up: https://www.trackmasters.com/Page.asp?Script=23 Go to Drivers Application and fill up your information

Price: $270 a day

Details: Create a user name and password. Sign up for the event. Your spot is not guaranteed until you pay them. There is an open track group - which is no instructor or classroom time (I.E. a lot of track tiem) and there is a Novice School which is a great idea if its either your first time on a track or first time at this specific track.

What You Need
1) a working car
2) all lug bolts on your wheels tightened up
3) a SA2005 Rated Helmet
4) a desire for excitement

Hope to see you guys out there.

All the street warriors with coilovers need to actually come to this event so they can use the coilovers for what they really are meant for --- not just adjusting your ride height.

I'm in for this event and I think the dough is as well. Anyone doing Friday? I'm doing all three days but first I have to order extra brakes. If anyone wants to split a room I already have a reservation with two beds. We should have a nice M3 train for this event.

Ways out there but I'm dieing to go back to the Glen. This time around I think i'll cough up the extra $ and stay at a better hotel then the one Caesar and I stayed at. I felt like we were in the blair witch project ...

Really? I dont think there is much better that is that close. I like the convenience, but it is a bit strange in those cold damp cabins lol.

Don't get me wrong the convenience of the hotel being so close to the track was great, but I couldn't fall asleep with the damp bed, paper thin walls, and the shower was um ... temperamental, lol.

You guys are sick...
If you're talking about the Seneca Lodge... the cabins are cheapest and sh1ttiest by far.. just get a regular room there and its not as bad as the cabins, but still pretty bad.

That lodge has been around forever and thats where everyone used to stay (drivers and crew) when all the famous F1 etc.. races on the 60s and 70s were held at The Glen.

If you go to the bar there , there is paraphanalia etc... from all those old school races.. they even have the wreathes that they put on the podium finishers heads hanging on the wall!

Also, you cant beat Genesee beer at $1.50/pint. OH YEAH

$270/day is pretty steep but its worth it for alot of tracktime at THE GLEN.

OH man they serve Genesee beer there? That stuff was the best beer during college. they were giving it away by my area in school. They brewed it across the street from my school. WOOT!! I wonder if they still come in gold cans. Don't trust beer in gold cans. :shifty:
