HELLO EVERYONE,

My name is Jason, I work here @ DMotorsports in CT. I have been involved in tuning german cars for a while but have had no experience with BMW. So being involved in a few GERMAN CAR forums already, just not in BMW figured this is the place to look.

We have a customr who just picked up a 2001 M3 convertible and is looking for a few upgrades.

1. Exhaust
2. Software upgrade
3. Wants true aluminum pedals
4. Air itake upgrade

I would appreciate all of your feeback.

Thank you very much in advance,

Jason

jason,
as for exhaust, i believe supersprint has the best one. and i think it's available now. cai, both turnermotorsports and ecis are on the market now. pedals, check out schnitzer and uuc motorwerks. software, i'm not sure, but i hear a lot of rumors that it'll soon be available.

If i were to put an exhaust system on my M3, i would get the Eisenmann(available from turnermotorport), or the Hamann system. The Hamann syste would probably be best because they specialize in BMW.

I work at a private BWM repair shop and I have installed several brands of exhaust. The worst one to install and get a good fit is the Super Sprint. I have installed 3 customer supplied systems and everyone has had major fit problems. I feel If you want a great exhaust for your German car you need to by a German exhaust System, "Haertge" would be the best choice or have one custom made as our shop did for an M-Coupe.

Hey
Any exhaust must be better then stock.
Atlease it cut off that chain sound which I hate so much.
I got mine done custom 3"cat-back systerm finish as stock.
It sound very nice and I love it http://m3forum.com/ubb/smile.gif

I wouldnt mind getting a custom, but I dont trust the ppl around here to make it sound better then worse. Its my understanding that thay could make it sound even more high pitch easily.
