Shipping these kits via UPS Ground throughout the US is typically $19-$20 or so. Dealer mark-up from cost to MSRP on oil is next to nothing, so we've discounted it as much as possible for the community. These kits are not, by any means, money makers for us. Still a great deal shipped to your door! :thumbsup2: flying05 Tue, Jan-13-2009, 02:27:48 AM do you guys still sell E46 M3 hard tops? SOCRATES Mon, Jan-19-2009, 05:53:33 PM Just stopping in to give a good plug for you guys -- I received my euro headlight switch very quickly. Thanks again. :thumbsup2: CarbonCal Mon, Jan-19-2009, 07:33:10 PM Great vendor to deal with. Been ordering miscellaneous pieces along with filter kits. Makes maintenance that much cheaper especially with doing it myself. Evan@Tischer Mon, Jan-19-2009, 09:21:28 PM Thanks for the support guys! And yup, we do sell hard tops, and anything else OEM BMW since we are a dealership. PM me your vin and I'll be happy to get you a quote on the hardtop! :) 05SCM3 Mon, Feb-16-2009, 03:26:59 PM I have been a long time and loyal customer. However, it seems lately every time I place an online order you folks send me a note indicating you can not honor the price you have listed on the internet for one of the ordered items. Instead, you offer to sell me the item at an increased price. This sales approach is pretty transparent and distasteful. It the type of tactic I would not expect from the Tischer BMW. You can avoid this by simpling ensuring that your parts catalogs have the correct and inflated pricing for the items Tischer will not offer at their published discount rates. Please read the FAQ (http://www.getbmwparts.com/faq/index.cfm?action=faq&siteid=214672), Policies (http://www.getbmwparts.com/storefront/index.cfm?action=viewAllPolicies&siteid=214672), or check-out pop up that clearly notes that some items (such as the TCU you probably tried to order) do not have enough mark-up in them to discount a full 20%. In these cases, we adjust the price to what we can offer them at, provide an explanation, and let you decide if you'd like to continue or cancel the order. This is no way a 'tactic' we are trying to employ. Our website software simply does not (and can not) take our cost on the parts into account...and merely defaults to a 20% discount regardless of whether that is at, or below the price we pay for the parts from BMW. Perhaps the 'distasteful' aspect of this situation is your public post about how we are trying to get 'one-over' on our loyal customers......when in fact, it is nothing of the sort....nor something Jason, myself, Tischer BMW, or getBMWparts.com would ever even consider doing. chopstik Tue, Feb-17-2009, 06:37:19 AM just ordered from Tischer the other day.... evan was nothing but nice and most helpful thanks again! ProjektONE Tue, Feb-17-2009, 02:53:22 PM I use Tischer as my parts dealer now. I rather wait 2-3 days for a part than to visit my local dealer. 05SCM3 Wed, Feb-18-2009, 11:52:05 AM Or you could read the FAQ (http://www.trademotion.com/faq/index.cfm?action=faq&siteid=214672), Policies (http://www.trademotion.com/storefront/index.cfm?action=viewAllPolicies&siteid=214672), or check-out pop up that clearly notes that some items (such as the TCU you probably tried to order) do not have enough mark-up in them to discount a full 20%. Fair enough. That is why I ordered the item from Roadshow BMW for the 20% off. :thumbsup2: Jason@Tischer Wed, Feb-18-2009, 12:29:42 PM Fair enough. That is why I ordered the item from Roadshow BMW for the 20% off. :thumbsup2: Well, apparently they can sell parts at cost when they don't pay to support this site(and many other) online BMW enthusiast forums - a luxury that we gave up long ago when we decided to offer our present level of service to the online community. Oh well, thanks for the support  LightWerkz Wed, Feb-18-2009, 01:04:17 PM I always use Tischer for everything,. They are a great group of guys with awesome customer service. ProjektONE Wed, Feb-18-2009, 04:06:25 PM Would I be able to order a key from you or do I have to go to my dealer? Jason@Tischer Wed, Feb-18-2009, 05:42:51 PM Would I be able to order a key from you or do I have to go to my dealer? Unfortunately, those'll have to be ordered locally. BMW requires that all keys are ordered in person over the retail counter with proofs of both ID and vehicle ownership(title/registration). They're very strict about it, too :thumbsup2: m3816 Wed, Mar-11-2009, 08:34:15 PM pm sent ! PCS M3 Wed, Mar-25-2009, 07:33:49 PM Thanks to Evan and Tischer I finally got my trailer hitch for my X5. It has been a nightmare, to say the least, trying to find one of these. read this for details: http://www.x5world.com/x5-e53-forum/53356-trailer-hitch-saga.html I ordered one from Tischer in July of '08. I seem to be one of the few who has actually received one of these recently. However, rather than a premium price (BMW MSRP+!) I paid the typical Tischer 20% off. Oh yeah, and Evan hooked me up with free shipping! (on an item with a shipped weight of 98lbs!) Tischer Rules! I forgot to mention that the other items I ordered did ship very quickly and for a fraction of the price my local dealer was asking. Of course, all of it was free shipping! Evan really hooked me up! I'll be buying all of my parts from them. MPOWERD Mon, Mar-30-2009, 06:00:39 AM Well, apparently they can sell parts at cost when they don't pay to support this site(and many other) online BMW enthusiast forums - a luxury that we gave up long ago when we decided to offer our present level of service to the online community. Oh well, thanks for the support  I dont think that was fair of you to say... Certainly didnt warrant the facepalm... I am sure the extensive increase in sales volume for said parts on said forums and website makes the small amount you pay for sponsorship well worth it... Or else you would have discontinued the practice long ago... In today's economic condition buyers have to get the best deal they can. Via a sponsor or otherwise... Still, I value the service you offer, but I will always look around for the best deal prior to purchasing. GJGM3 Thu, Apr-02-2009, 04:35:31 PM Evan's customer service exceeds my every expectation! I ordered a part and administratively something had the potential of being delayed. Evan noted it while he was out of town, and expedited my shipping at no cost to me so I can have the part on the agreed upon date. You can't beat that kind of service. Thanks Evan - you guys rock! Your credit card declined, and the order was cancelled - we don't warehouse packaged orders that were placed with an invalid card(for more information, check our FAQ: Why did I receive a message stating my order has been cancelled since my credit card declined? (http://www.trademotion.com/faq/index.cfm?action=faqAnswer&faqID=1313&faqCategoryID=1148&parentCategoryid=0&siteID=214672)). We don't keep every part that BMW offers in stock all of the time - it's just not possible. We overnighted the out-of-stock item at no charge the following day in an effort to get you your parts as quickly as possible(there really isn't any other possible way for us to fill your order any faster) If at anytime, this wouldn't have worked for you, you could have just let us know - as per this FAQ: What if I want to expedite parts but they aren't in stock? (http://www.trademotion.com/faq/index.cfm?action=faqAnswer&faqID=1476&faqCategoryID=1147&parentCategoryid=0&siteID=214672) And finally, Is there a number I can call to getBMWparts.com? Not sure what happened with my CC but I check my email at night so I was screwed to get my parts in time for bimmerfest. Of course, we're not accusing you of being a scammer personally - but credit card fraud is on the rise nowadays, more than ever, and we can never be too careful. Evan and I were actually at Bimmerfest, too - did we meet? Honestly, we do appreciate your business, but please familiarize yourself with the way that we conduct ours before placing an order. That way, there won't be any surprises or need for posts like these... :thumbsup2: Jason@Tischer Wed, May-06-2009, 04:37:56 PM Jason / Evan...have sent you a couple of e-mails on a parts list. My only gripe is that I got an email with one line saying "order canceled please re-order with a valid" instead of a phonecall. Besides the fact that there was no "hello/dear customer/thank you/name" like you'd expect from any respectable business; had you given me a call this matter could've been resolved right away, I could have provided another CC and in the end received my parts when I needed them. I understand that it is not part of your business conduct to call customers when their CC is declined. Oh well, too bad. I know of other businesses who do, but I can see why not. Seeing how the order was placed with next day shipping maybe you could've gotten a hint that the parts were needed in a hurry and go out of your way to give a call but that's no big deal. It was just a little frustrating for me. I get my OEM parts cheaper than you guys via the shop I lend a hand at. I was only making an exception and ordering elsewhere since this time my friend was out of town; so in the end you saved me some money. And no, I do no believe we have met. Take care. Kevin P. Hey Kevin, thanks for your understanding. I appreciate your concerns, I just wanted to point out that everything is outlined on the site and that we didn't intentionally ignore your request for a phone call. Also.. I get my OEM parts cheaper than you guys via the shop I lend a hand at. Honestly, I'm sure your shop pays a % over dealer cost depending on how much business they do with said dealership. Next time you're buying, let me know and I'm sure I can beat your pricing if you're interested. At the time of ordering I gave my cellphone number AND put in the comment box to call be if something comes up with shipping. Thanks for not calling. Kaiv, look at it this way, it was YOUR credit card that was declined which started the whole problem. Furthermore, it wasn't a shipping issue at all, it was a credit card/billing issue, so your request for them to call you "if something comes up with shipping" did not come into play. Also, what difference does it make if there's no signature on the email? How does that imply that you are a scammer? Aren't you being a little bit over-sensitive here when it was your inability to provide a valid credit card number that delayed the processing of your order? I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but I've dealt with Tischer and they exceeded my expectations. I don't personally know them or have any vested interest in their business. I just hope that you and everyone else stops and thinks about their own responsibilities (i.e. read the vendor's policies, provide valid credit card info) and expectations (i.e. in this day and age, is an email any less responsive than a phone call, especially for an online order by a forum sponsor?) before they post unfounded derogatory statements against forum sponsors. One last thing, I agree that, if you were in such a rush, why didn't YOU call them first and/or PM them in order to get the personal attention that you desire? How are they to assume (let alone, how is it their duty to oblige you) that you need these parts before a certain date, when all you do is type "call if there is problem with shipping"? You had no problem with receiving an email from them for the first correspondence, but you then expect a phone call for a subsequent correspondence? I could see it going the other way, if they called you and somehow didn't get through or didn't leave a message and didn't email you. I would expect you to say: "Why didn't they just email me instead since they emailed me the first time?" So I expect your answer to be, "Why don't they email AND call me?". This is where I would say: "Just be reasonable about it, you aren't their only customer, and while they would like to treat you like you were, it just isn't realistic for them to call EVERYONE who WANTS to be called regarding their order. If they did that, their product delivery would begin to suffer because they'd be on the phone all day trying to track down every person via telephone and playing phone tag. Sending a simple email, saves them a lot of time, the benefits of which they can then pass along to you in lower prices and faster order processing, SO LONG as your credit card information is valid. If you don't provide good funds, all bets are off until you can assure them that they will be paid once they send you the product. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to save everyone's time and pre-empt the obvious counter-arguments. While I have read the subsequent posts and understand that you and Jason have resolved this, this could have been resolved by calling Jason without having to blast him with a decidedly "one-sided" post, admittedly motiviated out of frustration. The catalogs on our site actually aren't BMW's, they're Trademotion's(the software company that we use to run the site). The catalogs are generic, and can sometimes be innacurate. At best, they're a good reference - but we can't guarantee that you're going to get the correct part for your vehicle unless you provide your VIN# with the order. From330citom3 Thu, Oct-08-2009, 02:54:12 PM I just recieved the shift knob I ordered and this shift knob you guys sent isn't the right one. My left side hydraulic cylinder inside the convertible top, that lifts and folds the back section of the convertible top, where the rear glass is located, so the tonneau top and can open and close, is leaking hydraulic fluid... I have been looking at realoem, but its nearly impossible to determine which part this hydraulic cylinder actually is... Also do I need to replace the hydraulic lines as well and the right side cylinder and lines? When I look at the cylinder I dont see where the lines are removable, so is there a kit for replacing both cylinders at once? And I will need the hydraulic fluid as well, to bleed the system as I am losing large amounts of fluid in a puddle ontop of the tonneau top when the top is up, it drips out of the cylinder and down onto the tonneau cover... I strongly recommend getting your vehicle professionally looked at and diagnosed so you aren't just throwing parts at it. Thanks, James Fuerza Wed, Mar-03-2010, 11:12:33 PM Unfortunately, those'll have to be ordered locally. BMW requires that all keys are ordered in person over the retail counter with proofs of both ID and vehicle ownership(title/registration). They're very strict about it, too :thumbsup2: What do you guys charge for a key in person? Evan@Tischer Thu, Mar-04-2010, 02:25:57 PM Need a part for an E36 '94 325ic. Door assembly pictured below driver side: Door won't open from the outside. Need pricing shipped to 91761. Thanks, James That part is typically ordered coded from BMW so it matches the original key code your vehicle came with, and your factory keys will work. We can not sell vin coded keys, lock cylinders, etc. online as they must be purchased in person, with i.d. and proof of ownership at your local BMW dealership. The other option is to get this part w/ the generic key (part # 51218199923, $163.10 online), but your original keys will not work with this new door catch/lock...only the new generic key it comes with. What do you guys charge for a key in person? Our retail parts dept. charges current BMW MSRP on all coded items. If you'd stop by our internet parts dept., I'm sure we could do a little better....but not a whole lot...coded items such as these are handled a little differently than normal parts. :) Emtri Thu, Mar-04-2010, 04:07:56 PM That part is typically ordered coded from BMW so it matches the original key code your vehicle came with, and your factory keys will work. Over all great experience and will continue to buy my BMW parts from you even if its a bit of a run around having it shipped within the USA and then having it forwarded to me in Ontario. One bit of advise i wanted to pass along, the VANOS filter "Kits" PKS54vANOS1 find a better way to package them guys.... My filters and o-rings were loose in the same plastic BMW customer bag with my bottle of Diff fluid and some other stuff and one of the two VANOS filters ( i ordered two kits) is squished.... That is my only issue from otherwise great service and about half the price i would have payed at a Ontario BMW dealer for the same parts. Thanks Dave asianscion Mon, Mar-15-2010, 06:05:40 PM So my 03 M3 is at 79,000 miles. I'm looking to do as much of inspection II as I possibly can myself. I saw the following item on your site: OEM BMW E46 M3 Tune Up Kit (Inspection II) . So it seems everything is right there! Which is good news. So my questions is, is that everything I'll need to do? I've been reading a lot of threads, and there are many mentions of other things I should do. I just want to know all of the important things are right there in that kit. Also, I performed an oil change about 2000 miles ago (got the Oil Change Kit from you guys), so I don't exactly need the oil kit. Is there a way around to get everything but the Oil Change Kit? Kaan, Please check with your bank on this one, as you haven't been charged incorrectly at all. When you first ordered, the pre-authorization for $839.45 failed because the PO Box billing address came through backwards(our system needs to see the numerial portion first, ex. 1234 PO Box). At that point, I flipped the address in our sytem and re-authorized it again for $839.45 - with the address corrected and everything lining up perfectly. I then removed the original pre-authorization for $839.45. When the order was completed, you were charged a final total of $875.32($839.45 + $35.87 for shipping) only - as I said, you can contact your bank/credit card company to confirm. I just checked through all of the e-mails compiled in our inbox over the weekend - yet, I don't see a single one from you. Although the two of us do try and make ourselves available on AIM as much as possible throughout the business day, sometimes the job requires us to be out of the office, taking care other issues, etc. - it's always a good idea to shoot us a quick e-mail or PM. If it's a Friday, late in the afternoon - and 75 and sunny in Maryland....sometimes Evan and I enjoy dipping out early on occassion. Give us at least until Monday to get back to you, as we're closed on weekends. Thanks again for your order , please check with your bank - and feel free to get back to me/us if you have any further issues. As for the rest of you, don't worry - Evan and I really aren't in the business of intentionally double and triple-charging anyone's account;) BTW, are there any other forums that you posted this on - so that I can respond there as well? The BMW Performance ssk is the kit from BMW that includes the gooseneck 6 speed M knob, alcantara boot, lever, bearing and circlip. We took the lever, bearing and circlip out of that kit and paired it with the shorter, weighted zhp 6 speed knob..and added the option of either the alcantara boot, or regular leather boot - the way it should have came from BMW in our opinion (any many others). :) Syner1 Tue, Apr-13-2010, 02:35:45 AM Thank you Evan for clearing this up for me. I just ordered an oil change kit and floor mats that have been "in stock" since ordering. Just wondering if someone could reply to me. I placed the order on the 13th and thought the website said would do best to ship within 24 hours if in stock. Both have been in stock on order status and haven't heard a thing since. Also, I asked if picking up would be easier/cheaper as I am about 15 miles from Tisher. Please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it!
