I vote for Sunday March 21 in the Brooklyn location, although I'm not too familiar with that part of Brooklyn. But I'm sure I can find it.

How are you man? Great to hear from you.

In response to Emetere's question: There is usually a Thursday night meet along Rte 100 (Central Park Ave, Yonkers NY) behind best Buy. Currently, the meets are in hiatus because of the weather. On an average Thursday night, 20 M3s (and a few Xs and one Mercedes) show up. Folks meet at around 7PM and then proceed to Pizza Beat (right across the street) for dinner. It is amazing to see rows of M3s in a parking lot.

After dinner, some of us go to the Nathan's parking lot to represent BMW M3 in a sea of heavily modded Nissans, Toyotas, Infinitis, Mitsubishis. On an average, 15 M3s in a convoy drive into the lot - under the watchful eye of Yonkers Police Dept. There were nights that Yonkers PD were checking licenses and car registrations.

When the weather gets warmer, I will let everyone know of the first meet. Spring can't be too far.

Floyd Bennet Field is perfect for me also, not too far from Bay Ridge. I most likely wont be able to do daytime meet with you guys though that weekend. Great to talk to you man. Based on the interest this thread is generating, this could well be the first good M3 meet for the tri-state area for 2004. March 20th in the AM looks good at Flloyd Bennet Field (rain date is March 21st). Do we need a permit to use the field?

If a track for remote controlled car racing can be set up, then maybe its a good idea. We will need Chris Raffaelli's help.

I volunteer to bring some muffins and cold water bottles for the hungry M3 souls who will show up. By keeping this thread alive, we will be able to get a good headcount as we get closer to the date.

Belt Parkway exit 11-S which brings you onto Flatbush Avenue South. keep left about 1 mile and turn left at the last traffic light just before the Marine Parkway Bridge toll plaza. you will pass a park entrance turn left at the first intersection. All the way down about 0.5 mile you will see a Brown building and a Huge parking lot on your left. And that’s the place we meet.

PS. Once you enter the park “DO NOT DRIVE FAST” 25mph max inside the park!!!!

A short note to the group:

I received a few PMs from non-M3 owners if they could come in other BMWs (X5s, 7s and 5s) and the competition (Porsche, Audi, Mercedes). I need a consensus: Are we an exclusive M3 group (present and future M3 owners) or an all-inclusive group (to include other BMWs and the competition too?) A majority of them are from other boards (DTM Power and Roadfly)

Welcome to the m3forum Clinton! Hey guys and gals - Clinton is the founder of the M3 meet that happens every Thursday @ Yonkers. On average, 25 M3s show up on a good warm night. He has a gorgeous M3 that entered the competition @ Limerock last year.

When i started this thread i didnt expect all of this feedback, this meet is going to be off the meter.

I had been lookin to go to a meet in NYC, but I was hoping it'd be more in the city so I could use the subway hehe ;). I don't own an M3 (yet that is, I have a 96 328i) but I would sure like to come. You guys shouldve planned your meet for march 21st so you could all come down to the BMW meet in Princeton on March20th. Oh well, hopefully I might be able to catch the next M3 meet.

Are we gonna me just ///m's, m3's or anyone who wants to come. I am personally only going to meet fellow m drivers, and couldnt care less about those with moded 3 series.

Mainlly is M, just some of M owners bring along with friends. ;)

This delicate question was discussed offline a few days back. It was decided that non M3 cars (be it other BMWs, 5s, 7s, Xs or even the competition) are welcome as long as they are family members or friends of current M3 owners who will be at this meet. The last thing we want is "arguments" or "bad blood" breaking out - specially with the competition.

It's STILL at the VPC in NJ. Just found out today that it's been held up there because of a "damaged" part !! Which turned out to be a bad tire!! Because of the different sized tire..it's sitting there waiting for a new tire, before it's shipped out. UGH!!!:banghead:

I was nervous at first. All I could think about was the roof being smasked or something. But..the tire is no big deal. I have need rubber & wheels waiting for it..anyway !!:thumbsup:

UUC EVO3 SSK,SPP Fog Lights,Borla Muffler,UUC Pedal Kit,Leather Z Custom Illuminated Shift Knob,Bimmian Painted Key Hole Cover,Hamann Comp Front Lip & Brake Ducts,DDE Gev V Halos, BMW factory Alarm & Universal Transmitter, and Aux.Cable in glove box(temp..so I can use my iPod,while I await my Ice Link system to come in)

It really just looks like a lot. Most of them are minor things that really shouldn't take them very long. They'll have 3 1/2 days to do 'em. I get to see it tomorrow @1:30pm.They already the lip & ducts, and I'll drop everything else off tomorrow. The Muffler & the Angel Eyes are the only real jobs.
The other things can be done in a few hours.

I'm supposed to meet the Main tech that does M3's, so he'll have a nice $50 handshake to greet him!! :beer:

I have a friend who works for BMW NA,that does a lot of "work" for them put a call in for me to the GS Mgr before I ordered. I got a $2,500 discount off the top.

When I told them what I wanted them to do, they said..No Problem.
As long as I'm not asking them to install something that would void the warranty..for $60K..they should be willing to do it...right??

my car is getting the engine replaced and i wouldnt be able to make it this week, but also the weather on Friday(possible snow) and the fact that there is already snow on the ground, also tells me that this might not be a good weekend. next weeks weather hopefully is nicer.

I brought the car out of hibernation for this meet. Please tell me it is still this weekend. There was so much support for this weekend. The weather on sat will be nice, we could even move it to sunday, but no need to wait another week. Weather is for rain next weekend anyway. It will be warm enough to melt all the snow by tomorrow.

I agree. Since it was already planned for Brooklyn, then it should stay that way. Next time, perhaps in the late spring or summer, we can have one in FDR.
