Hi all,

Have recently purchased a M3 3.2 SMG. Looking to do some performance modifications, namely ECU reprogrammed (Powerchip), exhaust (Remus), and air filter (K&N). Has anybody else had these modificaitons done??? if so was there a noticable gain in performance? Or has anybody used the previous mentioned brands on there vehicle?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

i'm sorry, but the m3 is no 1.8t volkswagen or audi. there is simply no more horsepower to be had out of it unless you spend serious amounts of money for a forced induction system. i have done the k&n filter on my m3. it isn't worth it. the oem filter is better for the car. don't waste your money on a engine software, either. no one has proven that any sort of "chip" or software package makes any power at all on a dyno.

if you're willing to spend a bit more, turner motorsport sells a racing differential that might interest you. other than that, only cold air intake systems and new headers will make more horsepower in your car.

Agree with lagnuasecablue. You already have a "cold air intake" on the car. Check out where the intake is. It's in the scoop next to the driver's side driving light. I can't imagine a Dinan or similar cold air intake providing significantly more hp.

Yeah I think the only why you may get Hp out of it is getting a supercharger or non cai and chip
