since there is no SMG II, is it better to get the stick shift?
can the SMG I perform a shift in 0.08 sec?
if not, then stick shift is better right?

I dont know if SMG can shift in 0.08 seconds... are you sure you dont mean 0.8?? 0.08 is extremely fast.
If you plan on having fun on the turns or do some slalom racing I think the SMG will outperform stick shift over time. Remember you can keep both hands on the steering wheel when you shift.

from what i've heard, the original smg in the e36 m3 was terribly slow and a major flop. but the statement is true, the new smgII can shift in .08 second. i've seen it in multiple magazines.
