Hey all,
I was thinking about buyin a 95, maybe 97, 98 M3. About how much should a stock one be?
I'm lookin for an alpine white, 2 or 4 door coupe, 6 speed manual pretty much. I like the older m3's better for some reason. I am gonna be s00pin it up a whole lot. I was thinking of spending between 18 and 22 thousand? Any comments or suggestions by any one? Anyone had probs with them? Thanks yo

I say go with the 95 M3. It's the year in which the E36 chassis had the most potential for the best mods. One of the Mods offered for the 95 M3 that's not offered for any other M3 is a larger Airflow Box. All the other years only allow you to swap the airbox with an aftermarket CAIS, but they dont' allow you to ugrade in the diameter of the tubing for the airflow. 95 is the only year that allows for that upgrade. with just that mod, you're allowing your M3 to breathe a whole mess better. This will help improve some of the other mods naturally (such as exhaust, etc.). Plus it's also based on the bosch something rather (something about the electricals for the airflow) the 96-99 are based on siemens I believe.
As for fixin it up, let me know what kind of mods you wanna make and I'll have plenty of recommendations for you. for example, don't get dinan unless you got the money. Turner Motorsport offers a supercharger based on the same specs as the dinan for for a couple thousands less. Performance wise, it's pretty much the same. The biggest and only dif is with dinan, you're purchasing the name. As for exhaust, go with UUC System U. Sways, go with UUC swaybarbarian. Short shift, UUC is great. No I'm not a UUC rep. they just have some awesome stuff. I've done my HomeWork.
So Let me know if you need some advice.
