The RS4 is the benchmark??? They've obviously never driven an e46 CSL...and they call they M3 a pretender...sorry...

They say the C63 is more involving and has more character, but it has an auto gearbox. They also say the M is harder to drive at the limit, but has 40 less HP and 150lb less torque??? With no LSD???

They also were testing these cars on a track...and we know how those results turn out...

This is not the first time the new M3 gets pwned. Autocar had it beat by the RS4 another mag by C63 again.

You might want to remember that when the E46 M3 came out it was beat by the RS4 in two different tests done by Car and Driver and then i believe Road & Track. The E92 M3 might have lost a few comparison tests, but it has won each test done by Car and Driver, Road & Track, Motor Trend, Fifth Gear, Top Gear and InsideLine.....sounds like a pretty good winning streak to me.:thumbsup2:

B5 RS4 was not offered in North America. You mean the s4 right?

The fact that it wasn't a RS4 and only a S4 that beat the E46 just goes to show you that sometimes the best car (IMO) doesn't win the comparison.
