I moved from Florida to Cancun Mexico and brought my 2002 M3 Convertible. I recently experienced problems with the Sequential Gearbox. The car would basically shut down once in a while and basically go into Neutral while driving (not fun). There is one dealership and they did a diagnostic (took about a week and half) and it turns out I need the Acceleration Sensor replaced as it is effecting the gearbox making the car undriveable.

The part # they gave me is 37146776212 - I cant seem to find it anywhere - If they order it takes 4 weeks from Germany!

However, they said if I find it and have it delivered - they will install.

This sucks to say the least so if anyone can help i would eternally gratefull. You reach James.RealtyExecutives@gmail.com if you have advice. Gracias!!!

I'll ask friends at the dealer and some people I know at BMW NA and see if they have anything or if they can get it faster. 4 weeks is overkill. I know from previous experience if the part is not available here in the states but they have it available in Germany it'll take a week tops. I'll email you tomorrow if I can come up with anything.

I checked to see how many we have in stock for dealers in the US and theres about 120 of these available. It shouldn't take more then a few days to get this. If you would like I can buy this for you and ship this out to you or you can get them from Tischer (a BMW dealer who happens to be a site supporter here).

I just had the same issue with mine and it took the dealership by me in Atlanta two days to get the part. Hopefully you can get it faster than they said because that seems like an awfully long time.
