Have a 1989 Porsche 928GT and am considering selling for a new M3. Curious how happy new owners are with their new toy. Never owned a BMW and am curious as to reliability service departments etc.. I live in Atlanta and am hearing that the wait for a new M3 is not too bad due to the economy. Love my 928GT but mx is becoming an issue and would like something new, although my 928 only has 46k on it and is very solid(no rattles to speak of). Thanks for any info.

Had a '89 928gt and now a E46 and a 360 modena.There is no comparison between a new M3 and a 928.It's like entering the modern world afresh.The Bimmer is nimble,faster and handles like a sports coupe whereas the 928 is a very nice touring coupe (and unfortunately underrated)
See if you can test drive the M3 at your dealer's and in 3 min you will see the diff.
