Equip your BMW with CCFL Technology Angel Eyes from MYCARR.

Originally debuted on the 2001 5-series and M5, Angel Eyes became a signature lighting upgrade for all future BMWs. Now you can easily equip your BMW with the same look, but at a much brighter light output when finished.

Cold cathode fluorescent Lamp ( CCFL) belongs to gas discharge lamp. CCFL is a light source classified as an electronic component. In the electric field, radiant energy makes phosphor lighting. Inside the phosphor coated glass tube, there are rare gases and a slight amount of mercury. By the reason of high electric field between two ends, a few electrons will hit electrodes. Then more and more electrons come out, as a result of this, gas discharge occurs. MYCARR Angel Eyes produce a white light with a slight blue tint, which matches most Xenon maps for an OEM look and are very bright - these can even be seen in daytime. You will immediately know another vehicle with a set after yours are installed.

OEM Look

MYCARR halos feature a sleeved highly polished ring around the CCFL tube, giving a thicker more OEM look when on or off. A chrome backing allows for for additional strength and light direction for maximum light output.

A Heavy duty wiring harness is included to make installation quick and painless, while adding safety to your install. No light boxes or lamp sources are used unlike older kits. Installation takes about 1 hour and will be one of the favorite mods on your BMW.

Brightest Angel Eye rings on the market

MYCARR Angel eyes can be seen from well over 100 feet away in pure daylight - they are BRIGHT. Using CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lighting) core technology, these are the brightest on the market. With a highly polished ring engineered to emulate the OEM ring when not lit, these will look as if your BMW were equipped with Angel Eyes from factory. Kits are engineered using high quality components and are rated at over 20,000 hours.

Remote feature

MYCARR angel eyes feature a remote feature that will automatically dim the rings when you enter or leave the vehicle. Unlocking the vehicle will emit a "fade in" and will fade out when the vehicle is locked or if left dormant for over 15 minutes to prevent battery drainage.

We have been getting a lot of inquiries on the specific differences between the kits. This is meant for informative proposes only showing a pictorial comparison of the details:

For this image, we are using the umnitza ballast, which is the same as the ones included in the MYCARR kits.

Closeup shot of the ring backing, MYCARR on the left, unmitza on the right. The MYCARR units use an opaque design instead to prevent light bleeding on the back of the ring, and direct the lighting forward for maximum visibility.

Notice the casting tabs are in the exact same location on both rings. Ring mounting clips are also identical.

Comparison of MYCARR on the right and chromiums on the left. We choose a black background to show the rear light bleedoff from the rear. There is a tiny bit of difference between the two since the umnitza versions use the chrome sticker on the rear, but very minimal compared to the MYCARR brand. For forward visibility, there is 0 difference.

And of course - the finished shot:
