so i was coming home from meeting up with some M3s tonight .. and i got to a light and this chick i dated was running so i was talking to her .. light turned green and i was still talking, realized the light turned yellow .. so i took off, i guess i revved it to high and didnt drop the clutch , rather i released it normal and i smelled this burnt smell .. yall think my clutch is going out? i have 30 something thousand miles on the clutch, but it was only that one time ... could it just be a hot engine ? ... anyone ?

Sounds like you just burned the clutch a bit. After it cooled off, did you notice any problems with it grabbing, especially when applying throttle at higher gears?
But, more importantly, the chick saw that you're not so savvy with a manual transmission, and you know what that means... :owned:

1. I would have honked at you for not making green.
2. Get your priorities right, driving > females.
3. Just a little stink, don't do it often and you're ok.

4. Don't text or talk while driving. It's the Ultimate Driving Machine - not the Ultimate Phone Booth.

I see to many morons screwing around on telephones. I wonder why it's not treated as bad as driving drunk? It's just as bad.
