I did a search and don't think it's a repost. If it is, consider this and update on the video saga. 3,2,1...:shiftdriv

If you can afford a Lambo can't you afford to rent an airstrip or track time or something????

Why risk so much - life, the ability to drive, your freedom all for a cheap thrill

If they really wanted to find it all they had to do was go to the DMV and get all the registered lambos in the area. (if theres a lot, they are SOL)

Go to their houses. and figure out who it is.(thats the hard part)

whoops i misread that one sentence

"Attempts to track down the Lamborghini owner at his Phoenix mountain home were unsuccessful. E-mails and phone calls went unanswered."

my bad marv. I thought they couldnt find the house in the vid. I was reading ahead of myself.

That sucks. to be caught form a youtube video.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials called the incident an "extreme violation of the posted speed 65 mph speed limit

Hmm ya think?

How can they authenticate the youtube vid? Chain of evidence would be shaky at best

Looks like someone is auditioning to be defense counsel for the accused...

Huge waste of taxpayer money unless they have more than Youtube as evidence against him. One of the mags (Road and Track I think) had Danica Patrick test the LP640 and it couldn't get close to 219mph. They estimated in order to get it to 200mph it would require further lowering of the car, taping all of the seams between panels, removing the side mirrors, some weight reduction, and favorable conditions.

is a video really a credible source of evidence? i mean couldn't you just "admit" to cheating and making the car seem faster than it really was. i.e. couldn't he just say he got a friend to edit the video / he changed something on the car when in reality he was going like 80 but the car displayed 200+ o.O

Unless they have eye-witnesses willing to testify that he was doing well over the speed limit.. I dont really see a case :( Problem with the legal process

that unless the tape somehow admits guilt...

Here is a incident that happened in Texas and these kids might get :owned: because of Youtube.

If you going to do something wrong don't tape it, and if you do don't post it on the Net.

They couldn't get it to 200mph in 1 mile.......not couldn't get it to 200+mph at all......

this investigation is retard

no solid evidence

What a waste of time

Heres a suggestion

Why dont these cops waste state resources solving murders etc

Wait, but that would mean they would have to do real police work. :eek2:

The tape itself can admit guilt, but you have to proive that the tape is reliable and admissible evidence. What if the tape was doctored in some way to be sped up? Hell, just look how Art has debated that the car didn't really go that fast.

You ll need more evidence or a witness, he is crazy tho at goint that speed on a public street!

Correct.

why did u just post a link to the other thread and vice versa?

The other thread started as someone posting up a video of the lambo going 219, this one talks about the guy getting busted? :clueless:

Makes my 165 mph pic look like child's play. Must hit 200 now to be baller I guess.

You have to be a complete moron to go anywhere near 200 on a public road in the US. Whether it was 200 or 210 or 219 is irrelevant. How would you like to be cruising at 75 or 80 and have someone going 120 mph faster than you come up in your mirror? Think your advanced driving skills, or his, could avoid the accident and resulting carnage?

The guys videoing on the side of the road obviously have more balls than brains as well.

Personally, I hope they track this shithead down and at least try to revoke his license.

I'm curious to as if the state prosecutors would cite the old paintball shooting that was taped a long while back (where the kids were shooting people with paintballs while taping it)... Of course that case had eyewitnesses that had been shot by the people.

Otherwise is there precedent that covers a crime being video taped then posted on an internet medium?
