One of the mags (Road and Track I think) had Danica Patrick test the LP640 and it couldn't get close to 219mph. The tape itself can admit guilt, but you have to proive that the tape is reliable and admissible evidence. What if the tape was doctored in some way to be sped up? Whether it was 200 or 210 or 219 is irrelevant. How would you like to be cruising at 75 or 80 and have someone going 120 mph faster than you come up in your mirror? Think your advanced driving skills, or his, could avoid the accident and resulting carnage? The guys videoing on the side of the road obviously have more balls than brains as well. Of course that case had eyewitnesses that had been shot by the people. Otherwise is there precedent that covers a crime being video taped then posted on an internet medium? |
