Hoping to be part of the M family. Looking to pick up my first M3. Been wanting one for some time as a weekend ride. Im looking at 95 M3 with 55K miles, 5 speed, for $18K. My concern is the color Daytona violet. Will this color hurt resale? I was told that this color was only for 95 and was replaced by Techno Violet. Not sure what the difference is between Daytona violet vs. Techno violet. Any info is appreciated. THANKS.

Techno is slightly darker, and it will not hurt the resale. It is superb when clean, does not show up the small scratches/stone chips that bad. And looks the part. Better than the Avus blue in my opinion. At least you won't see many around!

never seen a datona violet 95 M before, go for it, its a really rare color and hard to find. It wont hurt your resale but possibly increase IMO

Had a freind with one that was Daytona Violet, It was different looking but ina good way. Not to dark and always seemed to hold it's shine. 18000 for a 95 with 55k seems a little steep. I just bought one for 16k silver with 48k one owner and all of the records and never wrecked or run. If you look hard their out there.
