Hey everyone,
ModBargains.com is now proud to be an M3Forum supporting sponsor. We look forward to providing all of you with top notch customer service and high quality products at a very reasonable price.
We've developed a great reputation on many other BMW forums and we are excited to start helping all of you guys out.
My philosophy is that I simply treat each customer the way that I would want to be treated if I was buying from ModBargains. Because of this, you will always be treated fairly and with respect. I always keep the customer's best interest in mind even if it means less profit for my company, because in the long run that customer will be a lifetime purchaser from ModBargains and that is more valuable than making more $$ on a one-time unethical sale.
Our company was recently featured in a very large local newspaper, the Orange County Register. We have been many other media also, including Young Money Magazine, Yahoo Finance, and more. Here is one link:
http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/life/education/article_1346308.php
We're a serious, committed, and focused company that plans to be in this industry for a long time to come. If you're serious about modding your BMW (and other cars as we grow), then we're serious about helping you out.
///Macculate Fri, Apr-06-2007, 11:16:48 PM Congrats!

05SCM3 Wed, Jun-13-2007, 03:59:34 AM I had a dissatisfying experience with ModBargains and its principal, Mike Brown. Hopefully you will fare better if you elect to purchase from them.
Chronology
- Placed on-line order on 5/27 around 9 a.m. for paddle shifters and floor pedals
- Received email on 5/29 around 9 p.m. indicating purchased items shipped via U.S. Mail (shifters) and Fedex (pedals), with tracking number for latter
- Sent email on 6/02 advising tracking number for pedals was invalid
- No reply to my email
- Sent second email on 6/05 advising tracking number for pedals was invalid
- Received following email in afternoon of the same day:

Bimmian gave me a new tracking number today.

Please advise regarding the incorrect FedEx tracking number. This is my second Email requesting this.

-New tracking number reveals pedals sent out on 6/04, rather than 5/29
-Shifters received on or about 6/5
-Dead and brake pedals received on 6/07 - but no gas pedal
-Sent email on 6/08 advising gas pedal was missing from order
-No reply to my email
-Sent second email on 6/11 advising gas pedal was missing from order
-The following email exchange then ensued:

If anything your thread should be against Bimmian. Not against ModBargains.
Yes, they are our supplier. Yes, we take responsibility for their actions.
But yes, you should be reasonable.

We will certainly get a chance to see. Thank you for the additional motivation.

That's all folks . . . . Until Mr. Brown replies . . . .
Mike@ModBargains Wed, Jun-13-2007, 04:28:04 AM I hope everyone can see from the post above how much we do for customer service. We were on top of the ENTIRE situation, and had the customer a replacement part sent out with 24 business hours of when he notified us of the missing part on his order. All of these parts were shipped direct from one of our suppliers (Bimmian) - straight to the customer. We do stock many items at our own location but with the thousands on the website we can't possibly keep everything here.
So, here is the chronology:
1. The customer ordered on 5/27 - a Sunday
2. The order was processed on 5/28, Monday, and placed into Bimmian's order for shipping
3. Bimmian shipped the brushed aluminum pedals on 5/29
4. That original shipment got lost by Fedex
5. We followed up with Bimmian and got a new tracking number
6. We sent the new tracking number to the customer on 6/5 after we found out about the lost shipment by Fedex (at no fault of our own, that is Fedex messing up)
7. The customer received the order 3 days later
8. The customer emailed us on 6/8, Friday - I received/read the email late in the day, after Bimmian was closed so I could not file a warranty/replacement claim until Monday, 6/11.
9. Monday, 6/11 - reported to Bimmian that they shipped an order with a missing part
10. Tuesday, 6/12 - Bimmian sends out replacement part via a shipping service that takes approximately 1 week, sometimes 2.
11. Tuesday, 6/12 - I email the customer and let him know that the replacement has been sent out by Bimmian straight to him.
That is the complete summary.
It is unfortunate that Fedex lost the first package, and also unfortunate that once it did arrive, it was missing a part. It's also unfortunate that this customer is not happy with us sending the replacement part out in a timely manner. However, we did everything possible in this situation.
I hope you all can understand that we have thousands of customers and hundreds of orders to handle on a regular basis. If the worst thing that happens is a customer comes on the forum and posts a thread about us having customer service that replies within 24 business hours and has replacement parts sent out right away, then I can handle that.
All I ask is that most of you can see through this and realize that we care about each and every one of our customers and that everything in this situation was handled appropriately. We do our best to make everybody happy, but we are all human beings here... and anybody that has been in any retail business will realize that situations like this are inevitable and not everybody will be happy every single time. It's frustrating for us because it was through no fault of ModBargains that any of this happened, it was a mistake by Fedex and by our supplier. Yet we take the brunt of the attack from this customer on us. But hey, it's part of the job. I just want most of you to see through this and analyze the facts for yourself.
Thank you for reading.
slixx1320 Thu, Jun-14-2007, 01:30:55 AM I had a similar problem happen. But Mike was on top of it the whole time.
I had placed an order for a set of predator chromiums from them and it was sent out by umnitza. When recieved 6/6/07, one of the rings was not working. It was installed on Saturday and I sent out the email to Mike regarding the situation that very same day. (I've been through horried situations with multiple vendors regarding similar situations and it was a big pain in the @**) just getting the vendors to respond to my emails and return my calls was a pain.
Immediatly first thing Monday morning, I get a reply saying "your replacement ring was sent out usps tracking #blah blah blah". I didn't even have to send a 2nd email out.
This was and actually is the first and only company that I have never ever and I mean NEVER had to complain and literraly keep on top of about missing/damaged parts.
They (Mike) have excellent "I mean the best" customer service ever. All my email responses was prompt and they werent in any way avoiding any of my emails.
I WILL DEFINETLY DO BIZ WITH AGAIN!!!!!!
Mod Bargains you've got yourself a customer for life....Or untill I sell my M.
Thanks for everything!!!
Ben Z. Fri, Jul-27-2007, 12:04:45 AM I don't come on this forum to be spammed. So... don't do it?
He's right, the advertising is teetering on the edge of spam rather than helpful advice.
TheSt|G Fri, Jul-27-2007, 05:29:10 AM He's right, the advertising is teetering on the edge of spam rather than helpful advice.
Agreed. I rarely visit the E46 section, but almost every time I do I am disgusted by the poor advice pushing terrible products that cause our members(who don't know any better and take your word as an expert's) to waste money on items that will in fact make their car perform worse. You are degrading that section and this forum with your abhorrent opinions and shady sales pitches. Frankly it's amazing to me that the Moderators haven't stepped in earlier to address this situation. I generally feel that this is a strictly(yet well) run establishment, and it's disappointing to see that action hasn't been taken sooner.
*Edit* And I initially had high hopes about this vendor(as visible by my much earlier posting inquiring into the names of our representatives). I had read the story about how the company was founded, and I thought that it was a group of enthusiasts looking to help out their fellow M3 owners, but apparently I was wrong and they are just a low end vendor trying to make a cheap buck off our community.
Sha@ModBargains Fri, Jul-27-2007, 09:37:35 PM I appolagize if i have came off to be too pushy with recommending products. Most of those provided links were posted in early June, almost 2 months ago when i just started as a sponsor on this forum. I will try to be more helpful in the future without giving members a feeling of being spammed. A link is a way to get more information on a product. My intention was to help members out by providing an easy direction.
I have been a M3 enthusiast for the last 8 or 9 years, and have been a member on M3forum since January of 2004. I have learned a lot through reasearching and modifying my personal car. I have learned what works and what doesnt' and therefore i feel that i can help this M3 community with product choice. I have had first hand experience with many modifications.
I am sorry that you dislike my opinion regarding the PSS9 coilovers however based on my experience, it has been a popular choice for many M3 owners. Every product has it's advantages and disadvantages and people's preferences plays a large roll in what parts they choose for thier car..
Everyone has their own opinions and I am open to learning more based on the feedback of other forum members.
Thank you for your understanding and Please PM me or E-mail me with any further questions/concerns.

Ron@ModBargains Fri, Jul-27-2007, 10:12:24 PM Hey Guys,
We apologize if Sha has come off being pushy, he is very passionate about these cars and the modifications that can be done on them. It was not Sha's intention nor the intention of the company. Sha has always been a forum member first, and he's learning and trying to help out other members as well.
As to Sha recommending the PSS9's thats his personal opinion, I probably would rather he sell KW's, because there is no profit on the PSS9's, but he's recommending from his own vehicle experience. But to each his own opinon, they are two different brands. We're here to support and help the M3 Board members, and are always looking to constructive criticism.
tonggi Thu, Aug-02-2007, 03:25:35 PM Bump for Sha, he hooked me up.
Just waiting for my Angel Eyes and Im all set.
Some people have their own advice about how people post but this is an open forum.
Yea he does post links but for people who want to see it, I think its a great tool since the lInk is there, no need for searchign etc.
but thats my .02 cents
Shaun_FreSh Fri, Aug-03-2007, 04:43:27 AM Another bump for Sha.
I ordered reflectors from him while vacationing in France, paid via Paypal, received them at my doorstep in less than a week without a hiccup (which I was actually expecting given it was int'l shipping).
Paint matches perfectly, perfect fit, and the best thing is Sha was extremely quick in replying to PM's, regardless of the matter's importance.
Thanks again brother!

Satans Idol Fri, Aug-31-2007, 04:47:44 PM Bump for Modbargains....I have bought the majority of my mods there and talked to Mike. Great customer service and quality products. My last order had a bunch of little things that came at seperate times. The predator angel eyes came within 1 day!! (still didn't install them yet) The longest wait for the stuff was about a week. But they were just aesthetic mods so my car was still usable. Even so a week wasn't bad. When its time for my Vorsteiner hood, lip and trunk lid I will be calling them.
tonggi Tue, Sep-04-2007, 06:44:56 PM big ups to sha. Took a while to get here but SHa kept contact communication and I was patient..it got here and IM happy.

MrLiou168 Thu, Apr-23-2009, 02:11:16 AM Does ModBargains offer the M3Forum any sort of a coupon discount we can use?
mcm3 Sat, Apr-25-2009, 04:06:33 PM Just to let everyone know that I've ordered about 10 parts from bimmerperformance store on April 5, 2009.
After one 3 weeks of taking my money they do not reply to emails, nor take messages. I've left more than 3 voicemails, and requests, and have my car in the garage waiting for these parts to arrive, StILL no response.
ModBargains is the best. and Mike (the owner) even has time to chat with me on the phone regardless of his busy schedule.
**GUYS, DO NOT ORDER FROM BIMMERPERFORMANCE STORE. THEY DON'T CARE AT ALL**
Turnermotorsports is very efficient and professional. They have a good staff as well.
Cheers!

JoshuaRedM3 Mon, Apr-27-2009, 03:50:05 AM I had a terrible experience with modbargains. Not only would I not recommend them, but I would seriously advise anyone to avoid them. I ordered $700 worth of parts including cf gills and grills, lighting effects, hood emblems, and various interior parts. I had to return most of the parts because they were of terrible quality. When I tried to return the products, I had to call them repeatedly just to be able to return them. I still have not received a full refund, and this experience has been nothing but a pain. They also do not refund you fully once you realize that they sell crappy knockoff parts. The customer service is poor and the products are inferior. They may seem less expensive at first, but don't cheap out with these guys - it will only cost you more in the end.

MrLiou168 Tue, May-05-2009, 11:37:16 PM After reading so many strong reviews about Modbargains.com I decided to give them a try simply because their prices beat all others. Ultimately my opinion of Mike is exceptionally positive.
It started when I emailed about an apparent mistake on their website. A set of brake pads for the E36/7 M coupe was $8.00 cheaper than the same for an E36 M3. But as most of us know, both cars use the same pads. After speaking with Ron on the phone (who wasn't helpful at all) he told me to order the pads for the M3, which were more expensive. Then a few minutes after placing my order, I received an email from Mike telling me to order the cheaper pads.
In the end, Mike chased down my order number and had me refunded the difference, even after the deal was done. A classic example of a man standing by his word and being accountable for his company. Well done, and he has me as a loyal customer as long as the service remains exceptional!

Hmmmm... it's not really normal for us to do that. We would be outsourcing it to a local shop (which we would have to find, we don't have a standard place we go to). Do you have any shops local to you that could re-finish the wheel for you? That's what most of our customers do.

AmirsM3 Fri, Aug-20-2010, 09:42:31 PM I recently put in an order for some Forgestar F14 wheels with Kevin, and let me say, he was extremely helpful and overall an awesome guy to talk to. Rest assured, he's guaranteed my business for my next set of Forgestar wheels for my other vehicles.
The wheels I purchased were for my Z. 18x9 18x11 +25 all around.
Thanks again, Kevin, for putting up with all my BS lol. You're a badass.

Yeah, Kevin is a cool cat! Has my business if he carries mods I want. Post pics once you get em on your Z. Nice choice, love my 19"s!
AmirsM3 Sun, Aug-22-2010, 06:46:02 PM For sure. I can't wait! I was trying to find a light and strong wheel to replace my Nismo wheels. I decided to retire them since they're not made anymore.
quaixe Thu, Aug-26-2010, 11:40:30 PM make a first purchase with Modbargains from their website, submitted the order then the next day decided to call Kevin. And this guy Kevin was very helpful helping me out on adjusting order and advising on some of the products I purchased. Thanks again Kevin, people like u make us, the customer, want to come back and do business with Modbargains again and again.
When I receive all the the products I have ordered, I will write some more review, hopefully I will get them all next week before holiday.

mtrilla Sun, Sep-19-2010, 08:33:58 PM Hi,
Looking for either of the following for my e46 m3 convertible;
Supersprint race backbox
Active Autowerke backbox
Rouge Diablo backbox.
In your opinion, which sounds v.gd but without drone?
Also price for shipping to England of the UK.
Thanks,
quaixe Mon, Sep-20-2010, 02:08:08 AM ModBargains, thanks for a very fast shipping, ordered Friday night, all the stuff came in next Thursday
Down side : shipping cost was kind of a bit much IMO due to products were shipped from 2 different warehouse (based on what Kevin told me). I thought if I combine all the order at 1 would save me some bucks from shipping :lolhit:

If you're looking for zero drone, the Rogue Engineering Diablo Exhaust System for the E46 M3 seems to be a very popular choice. The RE setup is also in stock. I'll shoot over a PM with more info. :thumbsup2:

ljramsey Thu, Jul-28-2011, 05:05:44 PM A big THANK YOU to Elloitt for all of this assistance with my soon to be new VMR VB3 wheels. This is my first significant mod to my '02 M3 and I am very excited. I ordered the wheels this morning and they are shipping same day!! That is great service!!
Now I just need to finalize my decision on what tires to mount on these wheels. Once I have my ceramic brakes installed I will have the complete package...I do not want to the usual BMW brake dust on these new wheels.

ianmason Wed, Apr-18-2012, 11:22:03 PM Just giving a shout out to Elliott and the Modbargains guys. Had my Avant Garde wheels delivered today. Came perfectly packaged, mounted and balanced with TPM sensors already installed. Very easy to work with, informative and good prices.
Much improved over the standard sport package wheels offered in 2009.
Thanks guys.
I know, I know, it's not an M, but it's still a sexy momma. :)

Firstboost Tue, Dec-18-2012, 09:49:09 PM I'd just like to take a moment to not only say that ModBargains is the place to go for excellent pricing and even better customer service, but to say something that really made my crappy day a little better...
We all know work sucks...well at least for 95% of us....
So I come home expecting it to just be another day, but to my surprise, there's a card in an envelope on my coffee table. Ok cool, day getting better since it seems someone remembered to wish me a merry xmas and happy new year..
Well not only was it exactly that, but it was a card from ModBargains...and it wasn't just some generic blank card...not even just a redundant, "Happy Holidays".. It was hand written, by BOTH owners, and my sales rep. Jurrian T.
This once again affirms my position as a buyer that uses ModBargains exclusively.
Thanks for showing us that we are more than just dollar signs, Jurrian Mike and Ron!!
