part out.

53k is same amount people would considered 911tt instead. I suggest parting it or something. 03 with 40k+ miles are in the mid 30s. Just an idea.

I wasn't going to comment on the price, but since this is still a feeler I thought maybe you want some pointers in helping you for your official for sale add. Also it seems others have already gave you their idea on the price.

I think what you are looking for is not a realistic number which isn't a bad thing. Because that simply could mean you aren't ready to sell your car. So it might give you an idea if you should keep it. 03 with no CPO and no warranty is a huge deal. Also even if you did pay up to 22K on mods, the most you'll get doing 20% is $4400. That's if you find someone to pay 20% for mods. That's actually the price you should get back by parting out. But lets be optimistic and use that as add on price toward your car.

Also partying out is a problem it self, labor of going back to stock + the hassle of finding all the OEM stuff. Then waiting for buyers for your parts will all end in not that much of a profit.

You might as well keep your car or just sell it and take a small hit and enjoy your next car. Had a friend buy an 04 semi fully loaded with only 19K for 38K. Also had CPO till 2011 or something.

Good luck man, your car is fantastic. I think you should just keep it.

53k? Wow.

Unfortunately mods are generally only sold once. When you try to sell them again (on the car) you take a beating. You mod for yourself today...not for resale tomorrow.

Either part out or grin and bear the reality of what you're facing.

Year and miles dictate that you have a mid-$30k car. The mods might add a bit of value for an enthusiast...and that's who you're going to sell that car to. The average Joe isn't going to want any of that car...it's too radical.

Part out...sell the car for $35k...and be happy.

Otherwise, you need to lower your asking price by $10k and be ready to bargain.

Just my opinion...by having the car in it's current state of being you are limiting your customer base dramatically. A stock 'looking' car will sell much faster than a car that looks like yours.

Again, just my opinion. I wish you the best on your sale.

I sold my '06 Comp for $50K. It had &K on it, some subtle mods and wasn't easy to shift either. This was about 3 months ago. I don't think I woul;d have been able to sell it today for $50K. Nobady wants to pay that price anymore. The mods you put on a car are worthless because the car is only valued at it's stock price. Not saying you won't find someone who wants to pay for the mods but it isn't easy.
On the other hand it is a very nice M3. You would certainly get closer to your goal if you parted it out I think. Just my thought anyway.
Bump for a very nice M.
