The wheels are ZCPs for the moment. He has CSL fronts on order. He's already running spacers on the front, and amazingly there's no rubbing issues. Don't recall the tire size.. I think Roman said they were 275s in the rear. The car has H&R springs on it and those wheels and tires are snug, but no rubbing. The car is so hot.

Just evil.

I'm going to be picking up an M Coupe in May on a 30 month lease. As part of my lease basis price would I be able to include the "purchase" of a ZCP set and tires w/ a credited trade of the OEM M Coupe set (which would reduce the "cost" of the ZCP set and tires)? Also, would I not be able to this as a matter of course due to the restrictions on mods under a lease?

The dealer will let you. If you have the dealer add them on your payment will go up by about $100 mo. They will not give you credit for the stock wheels and because they are aftermarket they will not help your residual value but it will allow you to have the wheels with no out of pocket.

Thanks. That's helpful. I spoke to a dealer today and he said that I shouldn't get them from BMW or the dealer, that Turner or the like would be much cheaper. I'm sure that's correct, but then that would be an out of pocket expense up front. Either way, I suspect I'll end up paying net the same amount (wheels aprox. $2000 + $1000 for tires) whether up front or via lease payments. On a 30 month lease those costs net out to just about even. I can reduce the cost (assuming a 5% money market rate on not paying the $3k up front) by financing the wheel and tire cost via the less than 4% financing cost on the lease.

While I love the rims, I really don't see the need to pay $3000 additional on a car that really is just an expensive rental while I bide my time for 1.5 year old 2008 M3s to hit the market...$3000 more (actually, $3500 when you count interest earned!) that I can spend on that car (which I will buy), no?

Here are a few of my Z4MC. The images are thumbnailed, so click for the larger image.

The wheels went on this past Friday. They are the competition package wheels shod with PS2s - 245/35 front and 275/30 rear. H&R sport springs are on order and will go on sometime next month and I'll have my mechanic perform a CDV-ectomy at the same time. The car is silver gray with black extended leather interior, carbon leather trim, premium package, nav, and heated seats. Other than the wheels, mods include the OEM strut tower brace, a hardwired V1, and a DICE iPod adapter. I also have paint protection film on the bumper, hood and rocker panels. I will probably add the E46 UGDO sometime soon too.

(edit: add a stub antenna, painted front reflectors, and de-badging to the mod list)

Thanks, BBS wheels and BMW's are made for each other. You can get the competition package wheels nearly anywhere. Turner Motorsports has them, or you can just order them from your local BMW dealer. I ordered mine from BMA Auto Parts in Southern California (mainly because they've been very helpful to me and deserved some of my business).

Nope, just bolt them right on. (edit: I should note that I am now running H&R Sport springs and have no rubbing issues.)

Didn't you go to the Twin Cities BMW meet in April 2006?
I had my dads 04' Imola Red M3.
Yours was the Black one with Vorsteiner hood right?

BTW, you can catch the most local action on E46fanatics, that's where all the TC events and people are located (I'm under the same username there too).
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=50

But this summer the M Coupe will show up to a number of events. Hope to see you at some.
