This is my Official sales Thread for my 1998.5 Estoril blue/ Mulberry (Rare Combo) 5spd M3 coupe (Sport, non-lux)!!!

This car has been my baby for the past 2 years. I have wanted an E36 M3 since I was 18 years old. The only reason I am forced to sell is because I need to make some room in my garage and need to start thinking about future plans. I am an absolute BMW enthusiast and car fanatic for life. I have meticulously maintained this car up to the highest standards. All work and preventive maintenance has been performed by me. This car is clean and tastefully modified. The car currently has 96K miles and is in need of an oil change (which I am doing this weekend). This car has a mix of Daily driving and weekend toy miles. There would be weeks where I would drive it and then there was weeks were I would take it out only on the weekends……Basically, as long as the weather was up to my standards and permitting; I drove it. This car does not appear to have 96K miles whatsoever. This car appeared in HIN at Mcormick place and HIN Nightshift at Soldier Field. I have always gotten nothing but compliments on this car and it is definitely a head turner!!! Everybody I meet or know cannot believe my car has as many miles as it does (Depends on how you look at it). It looks and drives fantastic, and don’t forget about the sound system! Ask any of the Euroteknik guys....:agree:

Exterior: Estoril Blue Metallic W/ M contours. A few light scratches here and there because of stupid people, but what do you expect? The car is 9 years old. Paint is in excellent shape and still shines vividly. I wash, wax and detail regularly with all sorts of premium products. Have to see to appreciate!!! Brand New BFGoodrich G-force sport tires in front and about 40 Percent tread left on rear Potenza’s.

Interior: Mulberry (Rare Interior color) W/ (non-heated, Manual) Vaders and M3 stripes. This is a later build date 98, so it has rear headrests and the sought after M/// 3 spoke steering wheel as well as the infamous lighted M/// shift knob. Digital climate control works perfect!! Heat blows great, A/C blows cold!!! 18 button OBC that works flawlessly and all pixels and lights still fully functional. PDL, PW, Moon-roof, ASC, saggy Glove-box (of course),

Engine/Performance/Misc. info: Inspection II done….All fluids changed 8K miles ago.
Royal Purple Manual Transmission fluid,
Royal Purple Max gear oil in rear Differential
New NGK plugs less than 5000 miles ago (Tried a few different types of Plugs)
New Mintex Red box Brake pads….4K miles ago
New fuel filter….8K miles ago
New Spring and Plunger in Vanos unit…4K miles ago
Rebuilt both Front Calipers due to a seized passenger side caliper….2K miles ago
Full Tein suspension with E46 M3 rear shock mounts installed….less than 5K miles ago
Cold weather package door handles with lock heaters…
Factory Alarm and Toolbox….

AUDIO: I pretty much built this sound-system from the ground up, with some help from
Sound Decision. This audio system sounds incredible, and you can always tweak to your liking. I feel I have it dialed in very well right now. Highs, Mid’s, low’s everything….Transitions are Seamless!! Anyways, There are pictures and I will list everything I can but if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Head Unit: Kenwood KDC-MP 7028
Sirius, HD, MP3, WMA, AAC…etc…Ready/ 50W X4, 22W X 4 RMS, 4 volt pre-outs(3 of them) Built in EQ/Crossover High and low pass W/ sub filter..
Built in G-analyzer W/ several Graphs (The blue car on Screen, turns when you do..:help: )
Wallpaper, Screen-savers, 5 display modes…Remote…etc

Amplifiers: Power Precision instruments “Chrome” series amps (Have to find boxes)
Exact specs I will get…Asap
First AMP: Driving the speakers: MB Quart Tweeters and super tweeters alongside BSW Midranges down by the kick panel up front.

Second AMP: Driving 2 JL W3’s
I have the settings dialed in halfway on the amp and the head unit bass level is -4, with the subwoofer set at +5 and it’s seriously loud, but very smooth and dynamic at the same time in combination with the entire system.

MODIFICATIONS: E46 M3 Rear Lip Spoiler

E46 M3 Anthracite Black Floor Mats

Active Autowerks Stage III Short Shifter (Great feel)

ECIS CAI W/ Heat shield (Very nice Growl and construction)

Ireland Engineering Cat-back Exhaust system( Sounds like stock expect when you get on the gas!!! Nice deep tone…Very European-esque

Clutch Delay Valve Delete

M50 Manifold ( No vacuum leaks and No CEL)

UUC Red Tranny mounts W/ Transmission mount enforcer cups

Full Tein Basic Coil-Over Suspension installed less than 5K miles ago

Anthracite Black Metallic Stock lip

Anthracite Black Metallic Kidney Grills (starting to chip)

Rouge Engineering 10mm front wheel spacers installed with suspension

Driving Impressions: The motor pulls very strong everywhere throughout the powerband. The power is very linear, especially with the M50 Manifold. I stuck a solid car and half behind an E46 M3 up to about 145(NO B.S..maybe I beat the driver ok...) where we both backed off…. I do drive spiritedly sometimes but definitely do not beat on my cars. They are made to drive but not run to the ragged edge. Believe me…I take pride in this car:bow: . You won’t be disappointed. Suspension is firm yet very compliant, adjust to your liking. I built this car for the occasional track day but never quite got there. You absolutely have to drive this car to appreciate everything I am trying to convey. This car pulls extremely strong and has a long life ahead.

OK...Here are the pictures....http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p159/Estoril98/For%20sale%20Pics/

Asking Price is $15,000 without audio system…Feel free to contact me

16,000 with the Audio equipment…

Thank your viewing my Thread…I hope my car goes to a wonderful home.

Best Regards,
Bret Mylin

Anything I missed I will definitely add. I also do apologize for the length as I do have a lot into this car, Very sad to see it go..but thats life..

Just wanted to add...The leather in the car and interior is spotless. The drivers seat has very minimal wear for the mileage. No rips or tears...only slight discoloration on the drivers side bolster...barely noticeable:dance:

I will post more interior pictures up..I have been getting a few questions about it. I would just assume that people would know the interior is spotless based on the condition that this car is in. Never assume anything though..right? New interior pics coming:thumbsup: I will update this thread when they are posted.

From what you described it's worth every penny of your asking price. If I had not just bought my perfect M Coupe I'd be flying to buy your m3 this week. Nice Car!

I saw this car @ HIN maybe a year back. Very clean car. I remember I had a conversation with the owner about the M50 Mani swap. Very nice car and nice owner.
